In part two of our Authority article series, “How to Make Correct Decisions Using Your Human Design,” we will discuss the nuances of Generators and the three kinds of Sacral Authority.

In case you missed part one of this Human Design Authority article series: We covered a bit of a background on the origins of Type and Strategy, why Mind is not your Authority and the Solar Plexus/Emotional Center as an Authority.

The Sacral Center Defines a Generator

If you have a red square in the bodygraph, your energy is incredibly powerful in response. Your aura is like a pulsing vortex that draws situations to you so that you can react to them. As the Sacral is the only Center that defines an Auric Type, this means you are a Generator.

Approximately 67% of the people on this planet have a Generator Type of Aura - open, enveloping and available to respond. All Generators (Manifesting Generators included) who do not have the Solar Plexus defined (approximately half) have Sacral Authority, with the accompanying decision-making strategy of waiting to respond.

"Waiting?”  you may exclaim, “What do you mean, I have to wait? Who wants to wait? Why should I wait? I can't just sit around waiting. If I wait, I'm going to miss out! Who's going to make things happen for me if I don't?"

Let's get clear on what waiting is and the reasons Generators of all kinds, emotional or not, are advised to experiment with waiting to respond, rather than initiating action. As you can see there are issues this strategy initially creates on the mental plane. Then we'll discuss the three kinds of Sacral Authority.

The term "waiting" brings to mind boredom, long lines at the post office or bank. Waiting in our Human Design System context means an active state of being, a sustained quality of being present to the current conditions, absorbed in the living of your life, attending to what needs to be given your full attention right now, and available to respond.

Let’s contrast that active state of Being Present to… obsessing about how or when what you think you want to happen will happen, or trying to make things happen from the realm of your mind, or thinking about how to manipulate the future or rewrite the past. Active, present waiting allows you to see clearly, and be ready to respond to what life brings your way - which is a whole lot, as the world is filled with things for you to respond to!

The Two Kinds of Human Design Generators

Pure Generators are people who have the Sacral Center defined without a motor (Solar Plexus, Ego, Root or Sacral) connected to the Throat.

If you can trace your finger from any of the motor Centers along a colored in Channel up to the Throat (perhaps going through the Splenic Center or G Center along the way) then you are looking at the bodygraph of a Generator with Manifesting potential, aka in general as Manifesting Generators. These people are able to verbalize the sounds of their Sacral if it’s connected to the Throat and have the gift of being able to get things done very quickly, but are likely to skip steps.

The 34-20 is a channel that you'll often see in Generators as it is one of the three oppositions in the Rave Mandala that creates a channel. When you see this channel defined, regardless of any other definition present, you see the bodygraph of a pure Manifesting Generator. These kinds of Manifesting Generators can be lighting fast at getting things done but are even more prone to skipping steps. Nevertheless, they have tremendous power in the Now.

Because of the powerful fuel of the motors connected to the Throat, the bodygraph configuration of the Manifesting Generators can often lead them to engage in activities they may not have the engagement or agreement of their Sacral on, and so they end up getting stuck, feeling frustrated and quitting.

As any kind of Generator, you are designed to follow the response and yield to the authority of your Sacral motor (waiting to be clear emotionally if the Solar Plexus is defined). Your Sacral motor is a biological function, a physical mechanism that only you (of all the four Aura Types) have consistent access to. Because the Sacral Center is a mechanism that powers the creation and nurturing of life, you are designed to be the builders of the world. In fact, this is what we call your Career Type - Classic Builder (Pure Generator) or Express Builder (Manifesting Generators).

Your Sacral Center has a magnetic capacity, generating an aura with an expansive, open quality to it, inclusively drawing in what it can respond to. Years of conditioning to initiate action from your mind ("Just do it! Go out and get 'em! Make it happen!") can atrophy your use of the response of your Sacral and your ability to sense its truth.

As a Generator, you are designed to respond in the specific way that energy flows consistently through your defined channels. Your life force emanates fields which draw in data your Sacral knows it can engage in to generate the frequency of satisfaction or not. The satisfied vibration of your energy field (or frustrated if the activity, timing, place, people or situation is not correct for you) colors the frequency of your reality.

The serendipity of what it is to be a Generator is that the Sacral is the only Authority center that makes sounds. Spontaneous and uncontrived, sacral sounds are your inner Authority, whether they are verbalized or not. These responsive sounds that come naturally when your Sacral is faced with a choice or engaged in an activity are how you are designed to navigate your world.

This energy source of your being can be relied upon to know whether you have the energy to participate satisfactorily in the task at hand at present. Grunts and groans, moans and sighs, “uh-huh” and “uh-uh”, or “mmh” when undecided, are all sacral sounds that are great tools for recognizing energetic response before,  during or after an activity, and most come naturally to Generators. That is unless they have been conditioned to suppress or ignore them by well-meaning parents who told them to "use your words" in the name of politeness. Listening for sounds or tuning into the gut feeling in your body is imperative for you to rely on, giving you the ability to find satisfaction in how you expend your energy, rather than frustration.

With so much power, you are designed to be a busy person and may not be comfortable sitting still long, especially as a Manifesting Generator. You may have noticed that you are a bit like an energizer bunny that likes to keep on going and going until you become exhausted and need to rest. So when we advise you to "wait to respond" your mind may balk or draw a blank at what that means since you are wired to experience busyness as a natural state of being.

Trust the Response of Your Sacral

The magic of responding is something a Generator naturally experiences by feeling energy (or not) for something you see needing to be done. Your body wants to be busy with the tasks it enjoys, so let it do its thing. Honor your energy, follow your body. Living requires time, and there's a correct time and place for activities. Your Sacral is informed by the Channel and Centers it’s defined to), and therefore your body knows in the now if it wants to do something, or not.

The biggest signpost of a Generator not  listening to their own Authority is frustration or feeling stuck. Doing something that your Sacral says "uh-uh" or "no" to causes a sense of difficulty or impediment that arises when you try to force yourself to do something your body just doesn't want to do. Frustration offers insight into your Sacral availability to perform an activity.

Watch for any thoughts like "I have to..." or "I should do..." and a resulting feeling of dread or being immobilized that facing the contemplated direction or decision can bring. Should your mind win the battle to initiate action, and you do what it thinks you should do while ignoring your sacral response, notice whether or not the experience was worth the struggle, effort or discomfort. When frustration arises because you can't make something work, stop what you're doing, take a breath and a reassess the situation. Perhaps now is not the correct timing for the activity?

With practice and experiences of testing the waters and your response, you'll eventually get to the place where an "uh-uh" brooks no argument from you, or others who know you. You'll learn that sometimes it's just not the right activity, question or the correct timing. Gently teaching others by living the example of you honoring your sacral authority and that rationalizations or excuses just won't work to change your decision takes time. Patiently set an example of someone who trusts their body to make the right choices for themselves.

Your Sacral knows what energy it has available for IN RESPONSE! So what task specifically to do? Watch for when life gives you something to respond to - the right question at the right time can be very helpful to uncover your truth. Making a list can be helpful when you are faced with choices, then getting a non-partial other to ask you questions to assist you in discovering what the correct thing to do is. Allow your use of precious life-force energy to be guided by your Sacral response so that you can perform appropriately and efficiently in life, being your own Authority.

Kinds of Sacral Authority

The Sacral Center energizes from one or more of 11 different Channels - connecting to five other Centers - that can define this powerful source of life energy. Keep in mind that if the Solar Plexus Center is defined, that the Sacral no longer is the overriding authority as this person must honor their emotional clarity that is gained over time.

Manifested Sacral Authority

When your Sacral Center is defined to your Throat, either directly as in the case of a Pure Manifesting Generator or otherwise, you are able to speak your response in the now, colored by the awareness and energy of the Channels defined.

Generated Sacral Authority

When your Sacral Center is defined without the Splenic or Solar Plexus, your  response in the now is fueled by the adrenaline of the Root Center (if defined) or powers your sense of love and direction in the G Center (if defined).

When your Splenic Center is defined in addition to your Sacral, then the authority is Splenic Generated Sacral Authority. You are designed to generate a response in the now, with the awareness of what can give you well-being and keep you healthy.

Generator, You are Designed Perfectly for You

Remember the purpose of Human Design is to help you to be yourself by taking away authority from your conditioned mind and putting it where it belongs. You discover who you are by finding personal satisfaction in the activities that you enjoy. In the case of a non-emotional Generator, your true authority is deeply rooted in your body and designed to respond in the now when asked. The fact is that your body can be depended on to be a reliable source of knowing,

Often people will ask if it is a good thing to have this or that Definition. There is no such thing as a good or bad in Human Design. Subtleties within your bodygraph are neither positive nor negative. Yes, there can be challenges that may prove difficult to overcome from a place of ignorance, but the understanding and facing the challenges inherent in your design can be enormously rewarding. You are designed perfectly for your life, which is why it is so important for you to navigate correctly and live out your true nature.

Experiment with following your Strategy of waiting to respond, and honoring your inner sacral authority to make decisions. Then watch as the magic of feeling satisfied with the activities you do grows and flowers while frustration and feeling stuck lessens.

The Art of Being A Projector

There are four different kinds of human auras on this planet. Manifestor (Innovator Career Type), Generator (Builder Career Type), Projector (Advisor Career Type) , and Reflector (Evaluator Career Type).

These names were given by Ra to describe the essence of the Aura Types and the way these four different types of humans operate.

How you function in the world is based upon this one essential quality that you cannot control, and that is, the way your Aura operates. Learning how to be yourself as a Projector requires you to shed the pressure of eons of generational behavior and 80% of the populations' conditioning to behave in a way that is deeply unhealthy for us. Are you ready to breakthrough your mind's addiction to being seen for who you are not, and start living the sweet success that you were really born for?

There is a way for each Type to function correctly - that is, in alignment, with reduced resistance, in harmony with life.

Human Design Manifestor Auras have an Initiating frequency and practice the art of Informing - considering the impact of their decisions and informing those others who are impacted so that peace is experienced in their world.

Human Design Generator Auras have an availability frequency and practice the art of Responding - waiting for that unmistakable response of their sacral center that knows what it can commit to and when to find satisfaction in doing.

Human Design Reflector Auras have a teflon quality and practice the art of Evaluating - patiently waiting while sampling different people and environments throughout the moon's cycle to make a decision, and experiencing the surprise in life.

Projectors have a Dilemma

"The dilemma for the Projector is that because the Projector is new on this plane as a form type, they have a lot to learn. Having a lot to learn is a big story. It's a very big story.

This is the whole pressure now that is on Projectors that if they're not prepared, if they don't have the knowledge that is necessary for them, that they get steamrolled. They get rolled over by the energy forces that they've emerged out of. It’s sort of a nice bookend with the Reflector up there and the Projector down there, it really is. It’s this full movement, and in this full movement getting ready to complete this process.

So the better that Projectors are equipped to be able to articulate what they see in the other, what they see in a system, the system, any system is enormously important for the completion of this process.

Manifestors aren't interested, Generators are looking in on themselves, and if they're not-self, they don't see anything. So, there's a tremendous amount of pressure on the Projector as a force to guide beings.

When I say that, I don’t mean that personally. It’s an energy that’s in the world. It is a conditioning force in the world. So, the presence of Projector has already changed the way in which we look at things. That is, if you take a look at the way in which intellectually we've developed since 1781 that we’ve gone in two directions deeper and deeper and deeper inward and deeper outward. This is the result of the Projector.

The emergence of the Projector is also the emergence of the scientific revolution. It is the emergence of the modern world, not personal, if you want to pat yourself on the back you can." Ra Uru Hu

In this article, I hope to engage you with some education on the art of being a Projector.

That art is the Art of Recognizing.

Like all of the Arts, the key to perfecting is to practice. And in Human Design, we all have in common something to practice.

Do you know what that something is? Yup, you guessed it. Following our Strategy and Authority.

For adult Projectors, this is one of the most difficult things for us to do.

Because we are designed to be conditioned, and our waiting is primarily about the big things in life, it takes a focused determination and dedication to live our designs. As much as we've worked on ourselves and studied every system on the planet, it really takes seven years of deconditioning to begin to live life as ourselves. Cellular renewal takes time.

Hey, if you’re new to design and burnt out, stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted, take heart. I remember being right where you are 7 years ago and my body, health, relationships, life was a DISASTER. I know you can get through this. Stick with the Human Design program and experiment. Don’t give up. You can do this.

Projectors are the Most Complex Auric Type

Projectors are very complex beings, with so many different arrangements of possible definitions that can combine to make us who we are in the world. Being the “youngest” or “newest” of the Types, as we only started appearing on this planet in 1781, we are here for a very particular purpose.

We are here to Guide. Recognizing what guidance and when by waiting for the invitation and checking with our Authority first, protects us from the deep bitterness that we experience when we act prematurely and are failed to be properly recognized for our gifts.

A Projector’s Aura is the only one that penetrates into the core of the other, and in this way regularly exposes itself to the deepest kind of conditioning. Within this functioning lies the source of our Projector gift - to recognize how energy should be used.

Projector Recognition is a Two-Way Street

This gift of Recognition moves in two directions. Not only are Projectors gifted with the ability to recognize, we are given attributes that are designed to be recognized. We are magnetic beings, designed to attract attention. It is the frequency of our Aura that draws someone who sees and recognizes us for the particular qualities we carry and thereby invite our guidance into their lives.In fulfilling that recognition, we find our signature of success.

When we are operating correctly, we'll be recognized  correctly and find that success. How do you know when you are operating correctly?

The key for a Projector to find success in life is to have a mastery of a system. In Human Design, it is important for you to recognize the “signposts” or clues that you are either on or off your path to fulfillment.

Are you consistently feeling bitterness or success?

Bitterness is like the bumps on the side of the road that tell you you’re off your path.

Do you know what your motivation is or the signs of transference?

“Um, what?” you say?

If you’ve been experimenting with Strategy and Authority, getting the hang of it, how about diving deeper into how you’re here to see your own Psychology at work. It’s not rocket science, and it is a key to a Projector Seeing. If you know your motivation/transference, are you watching for these signposts of your mind's control over your decision-making process?

These are tools the Human Design System makes available to us that are invaluable for informing our Projector process of Awakening to our true nature.

The trouble with most adult Projectors is, we have been deeply homogenized and conditioned from birth. Highly susceptible to the pressures to act like the Manifestors or Generators that our parents wanted us to be, we don’t know how to let go of all that and allow ourselves to just be Projectors.

So how do you "be" a Projector? Many of us are deeply enmeshed in a life we are not well suited for, on the edge of exhaustion and burnout, bitter about the jobs, mortgages and commitments that drain us. How do we live our designs?

It all comes back to Strategy and Authority. Only you can take this journey, when you are ready, and you take it alone. This doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. When we Projectors interact with and guide each other, we can be brilliant mirrors for each other in any kind of partnership - Parent/Child, Student/Teacher, Friends, Lovers, Business, etc.

As Projectors, we need to learn to wait for the recognition that we are designed for. Remember you can invite each other as a Projector use your Authority!

No matter WTF the excuse is
that your mind inside your head is telling you,
THAT’S NOT YOU
or why you should decide ANYTHING.

Projectors have the gift of being able to master systems, and are perfectly equipped to Guide in accordance with the particular characteristics unique to their chart. So it follows that Human Design would be an excellent system to master for those Projectors who are invited and follow their authority to study it.

As a Projector, right after I had my second reading, I downsized my lifestyle and let go of everything extraneous to study Human Design. No car. No cell phone. No eating out, no new clothes. Went completely minimal. Just studied and took classes for years (and still studying to this day).

Why? Because I was invited to. Then I recognized Human Design as an accurate, powerful and practical system that  helps people to realize their unique potential. Life did not smooth out immediately, and I know sometimes I studied for not-self reasons, we all do.

"If you are really a Projector, everybody, who ever gets to know you, at some level or another will resent the fact that you are good at it. Because if you really are a good projector, boy do you slide. Things just come your way. They are just there. Everybody else is struggling for this and that, and you are just, its just there. And you see, you don’t get that until you are 100% ready to see if it’s there.

It’s the most difficult thing about being a projector because you are so deeply conditioned, that’s its just so difficult to just let go and start from scratch. Because you got all this stuff that you are hooked on. And all of this stuff that you think, because you are very connected to the way in which life on the planet is organized. In other words you are designed to have a specific relationship to the other, to groups, all of those things. But of course you can never develop that as long as you are like them. As long as you are not what you are. Only when you are really ready to be a projector I mean really ready to be a projector will you see, that it is all there for you.

Otherwise you don’t get to slide, you don’t. You really don’t, and that’s what your life is about. You are not tied down by generating and manifesting. They have rule and their rules are heavy rules. They have their own trip. Its not who you are, you are here to recognize. If you look at the energy on the planet and the way the energy is used by the planet, everybody knows even a simpleton, there is something wrong. You don’t have to be a political scientist to understand that there is something wrong in the way that all of this is working.

…any idiot can figure that out. But the reality is that the only way energy will be organized is if it is organized by Projectors. That’s what projectors are for. The dilemma is that they are not like me. They are not Manifestors that say “pay attention or fuck off.” Because you can’t do that as a projector, you can’t, they will beat you up, they will hurt you. So don’t ever do that let Manifestors do that.

So the dilemma is that you actually have to wait for them. Think about it, because when you think about it, it’s really wild. You have to wait for them to ask you to beat them up. You know what I mean? You have to wait for them to invite you to be in charge. You have to wait for them to ask you to do this and that so that they can get their energy trip together. See that’s the difference.

I tried to give you a sense of how profound your aura is, how powerful your aura is but you have to see something about aura. Your aura communicates. It does, it communicates. It communicates essential things. It is communicating your design to the other being. So let’s say you are a projector that has some tribal activation and obviously there is a part of you that can guide the way energy works in those environments. It’s in your aura. Its not like you have to put your hand up in the air and say I have got the 40-37 and I am a Projector. Do not do that, it is there. And if they don’t pick it up. So what? They are never going to be for you. Remember again you can’t get into “I missed it,” business." Ra Uru Hu

At this point of being in my 7th year, I know I’ve got a handle on the basics of design, because I’ve been learning to live as I teach them for years now. I’ve not only seen but FELT what this experiment can do to myself and to others. Good lord, I know so many people who are so relieved even just going through the first baby steps of design, it’s enormous what a difference living this knowledge makes over time!

I hope to continue to develop a deeper mastery of Human Design because I’ve tested it and found it to be correct for me. It supports a lifestyle that allows me to be a Projector - a specialist Advisor for short periods of time. I know it to be rewarding, revitalizing and renewing.  I see the hope it's brought to myself and the people I know who've experimented with it, and I love empowering and sharing that hope with the world!

Projector, you are Needed!

"How do I get people to pay me for advising them?"

My Human Design Projector Advice:

Please consider that we as Projectors are all about guiding through asking the right laser focused questions.

Has anyone ever asked you a question that cut straight to the core of the issue? Have you ever done the same for someone else? Seen the BIG PICTURE view and narrowed down to the absolute essential nature of what needs to be addressed to get to the heart of the matter and bring things to light?

This is a brilliant example of how Projectors advise.

Question asking is the most powerful thing you can master as a Projector. Yet it must come naturally, you need to see the relevance and how to help Others see what you see, big picture down to small relevant detail.

Now, can you look at the question asked above “How do I get people to pay me for advising them?” and see, that what you are asking is framed from the perspective of "What can I get from someone else?" or "How can I get someone else to do what I want them to do?"

This framework of seeing the other as someone who can do something for you, rather than, what can I do for Others is one of the biggest lessons I learned in my early 20's from a mentor who was the head of a huge national commercial real estate company.

On his home desk in his Hawaii location, he had a placard. It had one word in bold letters.

Here in the states, when you go into businesses, you will often see inspirational posters with words like "SUCCESS" and "ACHIEVEMENT" and "COMMITMENT" and "DEDICATION." Yet there is one word that is more powerful than all those words because it encompasses why we (Projectors) are here to do what we do.

As a Projector, that word is what we focus on naturally, with no effort. It is our Wu Wei (Wu wei refers to the cultivation of a state of being in which our actions are quite effortlessly in alignment with the ebb and flow of the elemental cycles of the natural world). Simply being in a room with another person, we focus on them.

The secret to my mentors' success was one word that he focused on daily.

That word was "OTHERS"

"Projectors need more than any other Type to understand the power of their aura. The Projector's aura is very specific. It is a bio-energetic field that can be felt across a room, and it is coded to a certain very distinct frequency. Anyone who is not attuned to that specific frequency will never really notice the Projector, and anyone who is attuned to their frequency cannot help but pick them out across a crowded room.

"he Projector's aura is magical. Not only does it ensure that they will get exactly the right recognition and draw it towards them, but also it serves to protect them.

Anyone who is not naturally drawn into the Projector's aura is not going to be healthy for them.

All the Projector really has to do is sit back and wait to see who comes forward and who does not." Ra Uru Hu

Now, how can we reframe the question “How do I get people to pay me for advising them?”

Can you see how the energy shifts within you as you contemplate this when we rephrase the question to:

"How can I fulfill my Projector purpose of Advising Others for Success?”

Now, I'd like to invite you to take a deep breath and see how that feels settling into your Projector body, your precious vehicle with no consistent access to either Generation or Manifestation.

We are designed to be wise about these things, all of us Projectors here, in our own unique way. There is no shortage of people on our fractal simply waiting for us to appear in their lives for us to mutually Recognize. Vibrationally, we need to be in a state where our Aura is “seen” by them first. When the student is ready (US) the teacher appears (THEM). As a totally open Ajna and a Right Brain/Mind, I know nothing without my students and life experience asking of me.

We can guide particular people, in right timing, once we have a system of study we have Mastered. You won't need to get anyone to do anything, because in truth, you cannot. That is why the way you framed the question may have felt disempowering and frustrating.

It is the most natural thing in the world for us Projectors to have deep penetrating conversations with Others that serves to Advise and Guide them. The Success of Others is how we gain meaningful personal Success.

I would not have the Success I enjoy without the guidance and support of my Projector partner, or the Generators who have invited me over the years to guide them in thier work.

SEE THE OTHER CLEARLY

You can only help Others to see what they themselves know needs to be done, and the how is our gift.

Now, in the Guidance aspect, as an Advisor who has studied HD deeply, including BG5, OC16 and Rave Psychology, I know what I have seen work in my own life and in the lives of those I Serve. I would like to share that below in a moment.

From the Evolving Role of the Projector by Ra Uru Hu

Back to the question: "How can I fulfill my Projector purpose of Advising Others?"

My suggestion is to look at your own life now and recognize: where are you already Advising others? What do Others ask of you?

Begin with what you know. This is the most Practical piece of Advice I can give you. In the beginning of my experiment, after being invited in, and feeling it out for a few months, I quit my miserable job at the time, sold everything I had of any value, studied until I ran out of money and began a coaching practice with what I already knew.

I wish someone would have told me what I am about to tell you.... I know it can help you learn how to move to a greater level of personal fulfillment more quickly than my years of intense study and trial-and-error.

I would like to outline 5 steps to Advisor Success when facing your question above:

1) Get clear on WHO YOU ARE HERE FOR: Wait for Recognition and Invitation!

Knowing WHO you are here to Serve and WHAT they're CHALLENGED BY:

To help my OTHERS recognize their OTHERS, I describe their Nodes for them, particularly where and how they themselves are designed to see because this is where they can fulfill their purpose. I integrate the current Life Cycle Nodal themes as applicable.

2) Know WHY you’re here on Earth:

To do this with my clients, I consult with them to synthesize their life experience up to this point, their Incarnation cross, profile, Type and current Life Cycle they are in, then we give it over to their Authority to decide.

3) Know HOW you are here to Profit (Receive Money) from your eventual Wisdom through helping OTHERS:

To help my clients see where they have the most Profit potential, I look at their undefined Centers and synthesize what I know about the design and cycles, them and their life up to this point, and then ask questions to help them see the relative goldmine of wisdom that they already have access to. This can be seen in the dormant gate potentials and their material application.

*Now that we know WHO you are here to Serve, WHY you are here, WHAT challenges your OTHERS are facing and HOW you are here to help advise them, all that remains is addressing your fears that are holding you back and attracting their attention to what you have to offer.*

4) Take what you already know, applied through the framework above, and educate your Others about what you know, WHEN you are invited, from the perspective of how you are designed to be Motivated in alignment with how it can solve their biggest challenges and reasons why they are asking for Guidance.

All Projectors have their own unique way of teaching, leading and guiding that is unique to their design. I am a creative role model of this. I weave what I've learned about what works and what doesn't throughout my work along with my Personal Perspective of my life experience, which is what I've seen work for me. Most of my clients find me on YouTube. I publish videos of me teaching what I know, in hopes of inspiring others through times of growth and change. It works.

5) Help OTHERS to SUCCESS, only the ones who have asked you, who recognize and invite you, in alignment with your own Authority

When I feel emotional clarity that I can make a knowing, creative contribution from my recognition of feelings, my personal perspective and I feel hopeful about what I share, I do. This is what has been correct for me as a 3/5 Cross of Contagion with my design.

The more you actually Help Others, creating your value through recognizing their value, supporting thier process as correct for you both, the more they recognize you for how you can help THEM. And that, my Projector kin, is what has worked to support the growth of my personal practice. I have a business that gives me the freedom to live anywhere in the world and do what brings me JOY as I advise and help others be successful. It all begins with Living YOUR Design.

It is my hope that this sharing has helped not only you, my friends, I hope it has also empowered anyone else who is looking for guidance on how to fulfill their purpose and feels lost about what to do.

”So back into our presentation that I have for you, my inspiration is this, I love this quote, A living your design teacher as a guide to awakening this. This is what you're here to do.

Living design (he called it living design in the first class) is a great trip because your responsibility in that is that you're here to help wake people up, not train them as professionals. This is the only spiritual course you will find in human design your here to wake people up. That's your job, that's your. That's your responsibility. Ra Uru Hu

So if you're excited about that, I'm really glad that you're here because that's my excitement too. As a living your design guide, it is the forefront of all of the human design community. You are the first person that people most likely meet because we have the most living your design guides. It's a lot easier and faster to get into guide as a certification as opposed to analysts, which takes some time. You're the first like wave of people that are bringing this information out into the world.

So in order for you to have this system be something that is really, truly profound for the other person in that engagement, the first thing that you need to do is make sure that you're following your own authority first and foremost, and always, because people learn through your example. They learn from the experience that they have with you—that this is a logical, practical system, is not about beliefs, it's not fairy tales. It is helping them to make decisions that are correct for their genetic potential. Right? So that's all human design is. Somebody comes to you and says, well, what is it all you say? You don't have to go into this and that, this and that and this because it's not the components.

What it is as a whole is this is how you make decisions that you can trust. Simple. So as I go through this process, I'm going to be using a lot of my stories, my experience personally of teaching this knowledge. I love the groups. As I share my vulnerable experiences of being a teacher and a guide, I'm leading by example to help empower you in your own process. Your process may look very different from mine because your design is very different from mine. So I'm going to pass on what I know to be true about the mechanics to you to help you be successful in this process.

This way of making decisions that you trust and the mechanics is something that don't have to be argued with, but you do have to know enough about the information that you can see it for truth and you just lay it out there and you don't ask people to believe in you or because of something that you say, you always need to put it back on them. Rather than giving advice, “You should do this, you should do that.” It has to be “Well, how does that feel to you? What do you think? What do you think about…” if you're trying to get a mental projector talk to you, you speak to their design and I'm going to have a whole session on this where we're talking to that person's design based on their circuitry because this is their genetic code and we want you to unlock—help them unlock their own code. It's not about a power trip like I know more than you, so I'm telling you this is the way it is. Enter into it with a level of curiosity. What's this like for you?

So one of the biggest challenges, and I'm going to put that out here right now to help you resolve this fear of the biggest challenges when you first turn into a teacher instead of student is, "Oh, what if they ask a question, I don't know the answer to? What if they say something and I'm totally stumped and so I'm going to show you my design and I don't know what to think sometimes, I might be so overwhelmed. I have no idea what to say. My unconscious throat will just start saying things and what I've noticed works is I repeat the question. I share with them what I know about the mechanics and then I, I turn that question back around and I engage their authority. Whatever it happens to be, and that's where you start to tune in, listen to whether they're speaking from that authority or whether they're going back into they're not self and you just hold space for them to be aware. They may need to come back at you with their not-self and you cannot just sit there and point out "That so not-self!" That's not supportive or helpful. You have to bring them home to their authority and unlock their potential by getting, speaking to what's true for them and not accusing them of what's out here.

Because what's out here already has a lot of pain and suffering. They already think this is the problem and this is the solution. When it's not. So sometimes I just ignore the not self and I will go right back to seeing them for their light and that's what I found that works. And here's another quote from Ra "Mind isn't for turning off. It's not bad. It's far aligning. He says, it's for correcting. We have great minds," he says "They're beautiful things, but mine is not there to be your enemy for life. It isn't. It's here to serve. It's here to express you. So oftentimes in the beginning, if you listen to older Ra stuff, he hammers at the not self and you're going to have to take your own stance. However it is that you communicate, you will, you listen to naturally do that. So when you go into making mind your servant, you watch, you witness what's going on inside of your body, inside of your mind, and you detach from any association of ownership with that thought.

So every single open center in your design, I need you to be so aware of what those thematics represent so that you do not attach ownership for yourself to make your personal decisions from that openness. This is the thing that you need to do for yourself and you need to teach to your students so that they do not get confused anymore. And it takes a long time to decondition so it's not just this, "oh, I come, I do live in your design and then I'm done. I'm living my design." You know, that's not true. You know, it takes time.

So you have to role model it [Living Your Design] yourself. In order to make mind your servant, we need to see the beauty of mind and what it does. So when I teach living your design, if you have not taken living your design with me, I teach it the way I learned that human design America from Genoa Bliven and Genoa Bliven has a recommendation of doing something called Wild-Mind writing.

So that's one of the things that we're going to talk about next week while mine writing how you implement it, what's most supportive? I do not require it of my students, but over the years as I've gone through this process, the people who really get the most benefit either will do while my writing or if they're mental projector processing authority, they're talking about what they're learning in class with a sounding board, with someone else. Okay?

So when you go through my living, your design, awakening experience as an audit participant, I want you to do wild-mind writing if you can, like I really strongly, strongly, strongly suggest it, and then bring what you've learned to class and that's your training: is going through this process again with me at a different level of awareness.

Ra says “So many people have read all kinds of spiritual wisdom, but it does nothing effectively for their lives because that wisdom has no place to settle within their being. They are not themselves. How can anything grow in that soil? It settles into the not-self and it just gets filtered away into nothing. It means nothing. That wisdom stuff that they read, the books and whatnot. You cannot live out what does not belong to you. The openness. You can live in that charade, but it doesn't do you or anyone any good inside. You always know that it is a lie and that it is not real.”

Today is January 22, 2019 and the Sun (Core Essence) has moved into Hexagram 41, Contraction, the Gate of Decrease. This Gate is in the Realm of Sirius, and is in the first half of Aquarius, which straddles the end of the Quarter of Mutation (and the beginning of the Quarter of Mind). Being in the Quarter of Mutation means the Life Fulfillment theme for this Gate is “Purpose fulfilled through Transformation.” The Mystical Theme here is Accepting Death.

When the Sun enters Gate 41, we have the imprint of that moment color the thematics for the upcoming year. This is a year of profound Transformation, marked by the Rave New Year Chart. Our whole planet has been pressurized with an energy for Mutation thanks to Ketu (South Node/Past Perspective) in Gate 60 for the past couple months, along with Uranus (Unusualness).

Can I share with you my personal perspective of some of the aspects of this Rave New Year's transit? Let's take a look together at some of the thematics I have been personally been feeling.

Not only have we had that Channel 3-60 – an Individual Mutation channel as well as large group organizing channel that causes the Strength of Innovation in our societies – for several months due to Ketu, the South Node of the Moon (past direction) and Uranus (unusualness), last week we had the Sun (core essence) in 60 and today Mercury (communication) moved into 60 as well. This is the Gate of Limitation; the Rave I-Ching teaches us that the first step in transcending our limitations is accepting them. 

These energetic imprints of where the planets are shows why the build-up of pressure we may feel, the source of the Pulse of energy that formats all of our individual processes to overcome limitations, bringing potential frustration, feeling stressed, stuck, or even experiencing low-back problems. Have you been moody or energized, “wired but tired” perhaps struggling to get over a limitation and/or feeling melancholy about nothing new happening? Be wary of ignoring your own limitations and paying the price for it!

On this Rave New Year we have 60.1 twice. In our Rave I-Ching, line one says “Restless energy when confronted with external limitations. The drive for diversity, that when limited can become restless and agitated.” 

Gate 3.3 in Uranus (unusualness) is bringing out of chaos,  ordering to transcend confusion and establish order. “The ability to recognize and distinguish between fertile and sterile in their various manifestations.” This happens to be transiting my natal Chiron, a transit I can feel that has been helping me break free from old limitations that kept me from being unapologetically myself. 

"It isn’t the transits that rule the world. Program, in that sense, doesn’t rule us. It isn’t meant to be either this or that. It’s simply there. It’s simply something that we live with. It is our environment. It is our weather.

And everything about how you deal with that and how you handle that environment comes with maturity. We long ago moved out of caves into, at least many of us, into much more comfortable, much more controlled, much more protected environments. Then we don’t feel the curse of the elements on the outside.

Like everything having to do with Human Design, information is abundant. Strategy is singular. Follow your strategy and you’re not going to be a victim of transits. Not following your strategy, not be who you are, live out the life of the not-self and then the transits are going to rule your life.

The same thing is true with being yourself. Living in the environment of the neutrino program, to be yourself is to be the most sophisticated you can be in terms of your consciousness. And in that sophistication to be able to have built in you is that protection against the negative aspects of the elements.

Whatever the transit field is going to be, whatever the cycle is going to be, any concern you might have is for the not-self out there who’s going to be trapped by it. But if you’re honoring your type, if you’re living out your strategy you will see quite clearly that regardless of what cycle you move through, the cycle is for you. Have a good new rave year." My Moon was the highest degree of all planets in the sky when I was born. As my conscious driving force, I'm no stranger to studying the Mysteries (I began reading occult books my mother had around the house when I was a young child). I can FEEL the additional pressure to want to know the big "WHY in the SKY" as I like to call it.

Remember it is an illusion that any Truth exists outside of yourself, everything is within. We all have our own, unique, brilliant individual Truth. So with this conscious, driving force in 61.3 Interdependence, I recognize the value of collaborating in relationships and am learning how “It is exceedingly difficult for truth to stand alone.” Our Truth, Transformation and Psychology this year is imprinted by Pluto in this Gate of Inner Truth.

Last year when Pluto (Truth & Transformation) entered into 61 Inner Truth for the first time, was when I noticed a huge influx of new people interested in Human Design and the demand for new classes increase. Line one of Gate 61 is Occult Knowledge – “The pressure to know the mysteries through esoteric. A natural psychic awareness that empowers principles of universalization.”

This drive to know is part of what pressures our direction this year. Ra being a Messenger of the Foundations of Inner Truth through Occult Knowledge—with his Design Sun (core essence) in 61.1—I predict we will again see ever increasing waves of newcomers coming into our community this year, eclipsing the tremendous growth I've seen on the social media platforms I nurture. For example, when I began as a professional invited to write for Jovian in 2014, we had around 2K facebook fans and a little over 7 million charts run on our platform. Right now, we have over 10K fans on Facebook and there are 26,919,567 Rave Calculations.

Another thing I find personally relevant to my experience that I’m excited to share with you is that both Venus (Values) and Jupiter (Personal Law) were conjunct in the same gate/line at the start of this new year in line 5,  transiting exactly over my conscious natal Neptune (illusion, art, spirituality) in Gate 5 Fixed Patterns. This is the business skill of Culture, for me feeling personally like the energy of Peace and Joy, with all mentioned in this line 5 (and my unconscious Neptune in line 2, Peace). Gate 5 reads—Waiting as an aspect of enlightenment. Both Venus and Jupiter exalted; “The power to be calm and to find one's place in the flow. To remain calm as the ultimate aesthetic and thus recognize the inner meaning of being.”

My daily personal spiritual practices have brought depths of bliss and realizations I have never experienced in this same feeling-sense before (my cognition is Feeling). I can see it reflected in my life through the synchronicities and joys of the simple movement of Being Consciousness in form and in the simple magic of breathing.

I feel hope that in the movement 
of Consciousness through you, 
in simply Being, as Yourself, 
you discover how love of yourself 
through any struggle, strife, crisis, conflict or chaos 
means honoring the authenticity of your form 
which arises from Consciousness
(as Divinity witnessing itself) 
this Unity with all that is,
through your unique differentiation.

Any lack of love, or loneliness you may feel, 
is only a simple shift in perspective to change 
to let go of the mis-identification with your shadows
to live out the truth of who you truly are 
And through honoring your nature, 
you step into the flow of YOUR authentic expression 
of Consciousness and Being, 
and in that, no matter what it is, 
you Shine as Yourself.

20 Signs You’re Waking Up to Your True Nature

How do we Decondition a lifetime of behavioral patterns?

Psychological unrest manifests through so many of us in our hurried, western societies as loneliness, not feeing appreciated or loved, stress, anxiety and can lead to the weakening of our physical body. “Most diseases have psychological causes and all lasting diseases have psychological effects.” Dr. David Frawley

As we slumber in the thrall of our mind’s illusions, deconditioning is an important step to "waking up." Contrary to popular belief in an instant enlightenment, waking up is more often a slow, deep, sometimes painful process (to the shadow state of our mis-identification with conditioned mind’s sense of self).

I know that as a Solar Plexus Authority―as a deeply emotional being―my awareness expands and contracts, spiraling and evolving the further and further I surrender to living my design. With time―I am now in my 7th year―I have found this “Human Design Life” wonderfully en-lightening; both in the physical and spiritual sense. My health, vitality and well-being are dramatically improved from 10 years ago.

It takes time to cultivate an awareness of the mental patterns in our lives that we are mis-identified with. Adaptive strategies of our minds that we commonly describe as "Not-Self" require experiential knowledge. When we enter into a study of the Human Design System, we are re-educating ourselves on the nature of Being.

We are learning to make decisions from our form instead of our conditioned behavioral patterns. We are supported in how to identify and see the deeply entrenched illusions our minds have developed in the openness in our charts. Rooted in the “Maia” or illusions our mind creates, these adaptive strategies and behaviors are an attempt from mind to resist and control our lives in an attempt to fix or avoid, protect or resist the painful experiences we keep having when we make decisions from places that are not consistent, reliable or dependable within us.

The encounters we have in these sensitive areas where we are vulnerable to conditioning can be quite challenging - and when experienced without attachment, when experienced without identification, these open places become areas of immense wisdom for others to source from.

Our conscious minds don't have a choice as to when and how we wake up to our true nature, or what that nature is, as it was given to us at birth. Everyone has timing of events and cycles of their lives that were destined from birth. These cycles of learning, experience and discoveries that move us through developmental stages can bring us further along the path of growth that leads us to the fulfillment of our personal destiny, our fixed fate, or our transpersonal karma, whichever life trajectory we happen to be on.

The good news is, there are simple signposts that can tell us that we are on the right track - like the sweetness of success, the satisfaction of following our passions, the peace of innovating and impacting, the delight and surprise in life's journey.

Here are twenty clear signs you're waking up to living authentically and are on the path of finding true fulfillment in living this life as yourself.

Which ones apply to you?

#1. You stop comparing yourself to others

When you recognize that you are utterly individual and beyond compare, you rest in self-love, celebrating your uniqueness. Learn to take each situation as it comes, knowing you are doing the best you can with what you've got. Watch how it becomes easier to ignore the nagging of your conditioned mind berating you for not being as good as anyone else.

#2. You stop trying to change yourself to suit others

When you recognize that you’ve stopped trying to change yourself to please someone else, based on what your mind interprets about what they say or think you should be. You know that feeling deep down that it is not only okay to be who you are, in fact, you can't help but be who you are, adaptive behaviors and all. Surrendering to what is and the joy of the continual unfoldment of your process is part of the journey. There is no perfect, there is continual evolution.

#3. You stop trying so hard to fit in, be popular or well-liked

You notice that you no longer care so much about what other people think of you, you stop worrying so much about trying hard to be liked, fit in, or "be somebody". Perhaps you can even laugh about what your own mind thinks about you, recognizing it's perspective is skewed to only one-third of the picture!

#4 You stop trying to answer everybody else's questions without invitation

You notice that the obsession with finding the answer to your conditioned mind's questions, or others questions, can just be let go of―trying to make sense of your own confusion and doubts relaxes too. You may also find that your life, learning and mother nature become your main source of inspiration instead of mainstream media, which tends to pressurize instead of energize.

#5 You stop trying to convince everyone that you are certain

You notice that your internal state takes on a sense of groundedness, in that you’ve stopped trying so hard to figure everything out. You can breath easy when there’s a question that challenges you, because it’s no longer a big deal to say “I don’t know.” You no longer feel like you have to know all the answers in order to get rid of the chaos in your mind or your life. You don't hide your ideas or opinions because you don't fear being challenged or being considered weird or strange, but you don't give them unless you are invited to do so.

#6 You stop trying so hard to attract attention

You are comfortable with silence and non-doing. You notice that you no longer make the decision to go places where you can get attention, or do things just to get noticed. You don't initiate conversations just because silence makes you uncomfortable. You no longer fret about not being able to manifest things - you trust that manifestation happens as part of the program and that you don't have to TRY so hard to make anything happen.

#7 You stop looking for love or questioning the direction of your life in the lives of others

You feel comfortable in your own skin, and notice you no longer agonize over wondering who you are, where you should go, who you should love or who is going to love you. You don't constantly worry about what you are going to do with your life or try to figure out where you should go. In fact, the word "should" slowly drops from your vocabulary when followed by the words "I" or “You”.

#8 You cease trying to prove yourself, to anyone, including yourself

Because you are comfortable with your own sense of value and self-worth without external validation, you rest in a state of being humble and confident without a need to seek accolades. You notice that you are no longer saying or doing things to try and prove that you are worthy, smart, accomplished, wealthy, pretty, strong, or sexy enough. Rather than trying to improve yourself constantly, you have an inherent feeling of self-worth and do things that make you happy, no longer subjugating your own needs. There is no stressing over the need to work hard at proving your value, for you know you are perfect, just as you are, evolving with divine timing.

#9 You know when to quit (enough is enough, already!) before you burn-out and crash in exhaustion

You notice that you follow your body rather than pushing it beyond it’s limits out of anxiety, fear, stress or any kind of pressure, as you develop a sensitivity to knowing when to quit working, knowing when to say no, when to delegate, when to create boundaries, and when to let others take care of things themselves as the rule rather than the exception. Instead of experiencing the frustration of misused energy or exhaustion from overcommitting your energy, the physical sense of satisfaction with life as it is, is the dominant frequency in your life.

#10 You stop holding on to what (and who) isn't good for you

You notice that you become more comfortable alone, feeling safe and secure without dependency or co-dependency. You aren't afraid to let go of things that aren’t good for you, or move forward because of the possibility of failure or lack of depth, purpose or fear or the future, and you aren't afraid of authority, secure in being your own.

#11 You stop always avoiding confrontation and truth

You’ve stopped leading a secret life hidden from others out of shame, guilt or regret. You notice that you are no longer afraid to upset someone if it means speaking up for yourself and your feelings when it's correct for you to do so. You don't fake smiles or try not to rock the boat or avoid hurting people's feelings if you need to stand up for your needs. Maybe you even go where the pain is without fearing rejection because you know that living a life of lies is no way to live at all. When the emotional pain arises you allow it to move through you and don’t run away from the experience; you breathe and feel, breathe and allow. You know that feeling it heals it.

#12 You cease urgently hurrying mindlessly to get everything done quickly

You notice that you are no longer rushing through things you enjoy, hurrying just to be free of the pressure. You’ve stopped initiating new experiences without proper timing or using your authority. You quit agonizing over how to get over limitations, what you should be passionate about, focus on, start or finish. You let go of trying to start new things until you can move forward in joy. Like the Druids of old, you trust that do without doing and the doing gets done―in right timing.

#13 You've begun to get a sense of and understand your uniqueness

You notice as time goes on, that something inside of you has opened up and relaxed. Being makes far more sense than doing, and breathing and simply observing is a pleasure. Being yourself takes precedence, above all else. You see that aligned Doing arises out of stillness and joy, as a divine Being.

#14. You enjoy watching the movie of your life

You notice that as the layers and layers of conditioning dissipate, the person you were always meant to be breathes in the breath of awareness and awakens to life. You are absorbed fully in the process of living, watching the storyline as your play your part on the grand stage of life..

#15. The way you make decisions changes

You notice that you feel more and more comfortable just being yourself around people who “get” you―there seem to be more of them nowadays! Where before you may have given your authority to others or tried to have authority over others, you now respect yourself and others too much for that to happen ever again. You would never dream of making a decision that wasn't in alignment with your true nature―and when it happens, you laugh at the lesson and share what you learned when correct for you for others on your fractal to learn from too..

#16 You are present, aware, and open to life

You notice you get a lot of compliments in recognition of who you really are. The way your cells function in your body have renewed and are pulsing in alignment with your true nature, resonating with a frequency that allows your body to live its life without resistance. There’s a light inside you now that was always there, no longer dimmed by the suffering and pain of reality, but fed by the joy of living life to the fullest, in every moment and every breath that you take.

#17 Your body feels more vital and alive than you ever have no matter your age

You are drawn to the correct intake of nourishment in the manner that is most beneficial to your body. You are drawn the correct places that nourish your being, furthering the process of deconditioning and differentiating into the unique perfection that you are. You get complements on your glowingness as that light burns brighter with your fire of purpose, and people are drawn to you―both the light and the dark.

#18 You find yourself completely surrendering to your life’s process

You cease believing everything your mind says about yourself, and can laugh at it’s silliness. When it’s scared, you might even talk to it out loud to reassure it’s fears. You instead accept that if you can get your own head out of the way, your body does the right thing with the correct timing. You trust that life brings you what you need, and it’s all okay.

#19 You watch yourself loving and nurturing your whole being

You notice that you now trust in your own process and life, knowing that it will take care of you. Trust becomes the frequency you radiate, knowing that manifestation energy flows through you in partnership with the right timing and the right other, without your mind having to control or manipulate anything or anyone. “FOMO” disappears

#20 You know it is never too early or too late to begin living as yourself

You also notice that it is natural to support others without an agenda when it's correct for you to do so. You remember to take care of yourself first so as to be able to have the energy and resources to help others as yourself. You recognize the gift of being yourself is the biggest gift you can give the world.

Can you relate to any of these signposts above? Some of us will, some of us won’t. Perhaps you just get flashes of signs, here and there. If you don't yet feel more often fulfilled than not, not to worry. There are many reasons for life's struggles. How to Make Correct Decisions: Human Design System Emotional Solar Plexus Authority

Emotional Authority

If you see the inward pointing triangle on the lower right-hand side of your bodygraph colored in, you know that you are an Emotionally defined being because of your consistently defined (energized) Solar Plexus.

In the video below is an excerpt of a class on Solar Plexus as the Authority in the Human Design System chart.

Imagine you are a body of water - a tranquil lake.

Small decisions are like small pebbles thrown into you; it doesn't take long for your waters to grow still again so that you can see clearly and make a decision from that place of clarity.

Now imagine someone is backing up a huge dump truck to roll a boulder toward you, the lake. Boom! The boulder crashes into the lake, throwing out huge waves and shaking the earth. This time it takes a much longer time for the waters to become clear, with ripples bouncing back from the shore and mud being stirred up. Large decisions (like romantic relationships or big career moves) can take far more time to get clear on.

However, your emotional waters are never completely still - because your chemistry creates waves on its own. As an emotionally defined being, you are more like an ocean, with varying kinds of waves depending on what kind of definition you have. Because of the motor function of the Solar Plexus, you can never get a completely clear picture of decisions. When you're feeling good, everything looks better. When you're feeling bad, everything looks worse. You can only reach a sense of clarity over time as the waters - your emotional waves - keep on moving.

The Most Important thing to Know if Your Solar Plexus is Defined!

If you have the Solar Plexus defined, the most important thing for you to learn is patience, to avoid premature action that your mind or others condition you to take. The capacity to accept what is, to endure nervousness and upsets or elation without acting from the high point of either emotional extreme is of the utmost importance for you to learn.

Patience allows you to experience the "wave" or swing of moods and emotions generated by the Solar Plexus, and practice allows you to make your decisions from a place of clear waters - a place of calm.

Types of Emotional Authority

Did you know there are three kinds of Emotional Authority (different wave frequencies of emotions) caused by the Source wave that generates them? They are the Tribal Racheting, Individual Spike and Collective Crash Waves. Also, there are three Types of Emotional Authority - Manifested, Generated and Projected. The Benefits of Patience in Decision-Making

Regardless of the kind of Emotional Authority you have, (Manifested, Generated or Projected) you need time to experience emotional clarity throughout the depth and breadth of your emotional wave. Wait for zero emotional turbulence on decisions before you move forward on anything, as there is no absolute truth in the now for you.

As an emotional being, you are here to know things deeply, experience a full range of emotional experiences. You are here to move forward when you are clear about your impact (Manifestor), response (Generator) or recognitions after having been invited (Projector).

Truth reveals itself as a sense of clarity over time as you experience the myriad of perspectives from riding your emotional wave.

Defined Solar Plexus - Emotional Authority

“If your Solar Plexus is defined, the emotional frequencies of your defined gates above are hardwired into how you consistently experience your life.

Remember to wait out your waves of emotions for decision-making as you have your unique time-frequency. It is not about explaining or controlling your emotions. Release your emotions when and how it feels correct for you; otherwise chaos ensues.

When you repress or stuff your emotions (as many of us are trained to do when raised by unemotional parents) they can cause all kinds of physical problems. Ra received the raw substance of Human Design, which he then synthesized through his thousands of readings and teaching his students about how this illusion that we live in functions. Decision-Making is Navigation through Life

Moving through life and being yourself is about making decisions correctly - deciding what to do in a way that is authentic to the being you truly are. Making decisions authentically as yourself requires that you honor your personal authority. Human Design offers everyone a simple way of helping you discover how you can reliably make the right choices as and for yourself - by being your own Authority.

Strategy and Authority represent the surface of this complex body of knowledge in a way that anyone coming to Design can easily experiment with the System. It doesn't take a lot of effort to verify whether Human Design works for you. Simply experiment with making decisions according to your Strategy and Authority, which can lead you to living a fulfilled life.

Here are the possible Authorities of the Human Design System Manifestor Type

One of the most stunning accuracies provided by the Human Design System is the signature of Type. Signature is the essence of your spirit translated into form in this life. By discriminating what combination of energies in the Rave Bodygraph resulted in which frequencies, Ra associated with each of the Types a special "Keynote" that represents the way they experience fulfillment. Making decisions correctly leads you to the "signature" of your Aura Type - Peace for the Manifestor, Satisfaction for the Generator, Success for the Projector and Surprise for the Reflector. Each of these Types are broad categorizations that have sub-Types - all unified through their expression of Signature - their goal in this life.
 

Mind is Never Your Authority

Here are the possible Authorities of the Human Design System Generator Types

Not-self conditioning causes your mind to become the false authority. Your deeply conditioned mind attempts to be your authority because it is subject to the adaptive strategies taken on to protect the openness within you. Adaptive strategies such as avoiding confrontation and truth result in not being able to live as yourself.

Mind acts as a spokesperson for the openness in your chart - specifically your undefined centers, as well as bridging gates between areas of your definition if you are a simple split. You can’t turn off your mind’s pratering, but you can watch the interaction between the mind and the Centers to facilitate awareness.

When you are new to your experiment, you'll notice your mind second guesses your Authority, which is a clue as to what to ignore or not believe. Your mind can never know what is right or what is wrong when it comes to making decisions about yourself, because of conditioning. You can't believe anything your mind says about you!

These are the Human Design System’s Centers which never are your personal authority

Like snowflakes, all of us have an exquisitely unique design. Life Force Energy flows through the channels within us all from the Pressure Centers at the Head and Root, to be expressed at the Throat, our Center for communication and manifestation. Like Mind, all three of those Centers are also never an Authority in your life.

Strategy provides the Solution as to When to Decide

The Human Design BodyGraph provides a map of the template for what it is to be human. The kind of energy that is consistently present and active within you determines the holistic frequency of your Aura, which is you. The Aura Types may be only four in number, but there are endless variations of these four found in the world.

All Types are given a simple Strategy for decision making that allows each to bypass the conditioning of their mind and access their Authority. In this article series, we'll cover all Four Aura Types along with their Strategies and possible Authorities. We'll also provide example charts that you can click on to save to your free myBodyGraph Chart Library for your reference.

The Solar Plexus (Emotional Center), Sacral and Splenic Authority Centers are the ones that show up most often in the world, with about half of our population being Emotionally defined.

Often you will see Human Design charts that have one, two or all three of these Centers defined. Once in a while, you'll see a bodygraph with none of them defined. We will cover these and more in future installments of “How to Make Correct Decisions.”

Why Mind is Never Your Authority

The voice inside of your head about yourself and others is NEVER your personal authority. It cannot be, for it is too tainted by conditioning and is not authentic to you. Please watch the video above for the science behind this concept.

The Substructure of the Hexagram Lines

Underneath the level of all hexagram Lines, the Human Design System describes further nuances of each Gate—labeled Color, Tone, and Base. Each Line of every one of your Gates carries has a ‘substructure’—containing one of six Colors, further differentiating those colors to one of six Tones and below that, one of five Bases.

Health problems seen in the symptoms of a body that isn't functioning at its optimum can be encouraged back into alignment using Strategy and Authority, then looking below the line to the Design Crystal, at the Color level.

Color exiting the Crystal correctly or not can either bring you towards or away from what is right for your body. This leads you to take in the nourishment for your body on the inside or outside that either supports your differentiation or homogenizes you. The ‘transference’ shows what you’ll be attracted to that has the power to homogenize you.

Color transference is called “distraction” when it happens in the Personality Crystal from the nodal perspective, causing distortion in your perception of reality. When it happens from the Sun/Earth level, it's called "transference", and can lead you to be motivated to action incorrectly.

One of the most exciting and fascinating things to witness in your experiment is when you get to that place of actually catching yourself in transference/distraction, because it leads to the passenger being aware of whether actions are correct, and to awareness of the helplessness of being consciousness in form. It’s an alert to the mind that something is “off” that is subtle yet profound, and it’s then that Ra tells us to ask ourselves “Who’s watching?” This brings us in touch with being the witness, the passenger in our bodies, watching the movie of our lives.

Again, first before experimenting with this information: be correct at the surface before moving down below the surface of the line, and you’ll find this depth of the knowledge much richer and more rewarding.

Time to Wake-Up to Yourself

We have the techniques to realize our differentiated uniqueness, to witness life as an awake being. We have the potential to be aware filters of the neutrino field flowing through us. Everyone alive now is here with the possibility of experiencing that neutrino field when it filters through our Crystals as authentic, unique, individuated and empowered inner truth. Experiencing your own self-reflected consciousness in form is quite a thing to witness.

To discover your personal truth, experiment with your Strategy and Authority, and if that leads you to Color, explore the Four Transformations. Find out for yourself what it's like to journey a path that is only yours to tread. You’re not here to be copied: with no footprints to follow, no one to carry you, and leaving no trace, your journey is a grand adventure, and you’re its sole primary witness. "I look at motivation and I see it as the deepest challenge that is there for anyone who is trying to complete this holistic process of transformation and awakening. The personality is always a dilemma. The mind and its deep connection with the vehicle and its desire to maintain its control over the direction of the life, the fears that human beings have, how easy it is for the mind to be able to jump in and start taking control and making decisions in the life. In understanding the purity of the natural world, it’s also there to inspire you. We, too, can return to the purity of that consciousness field, but not at that level obviously, we are different. Oh, how important it is to work with your mind, to exercise your mind, to recognize transference. For you to see clearly what is correct for you, to see what motivation lies underneath and to not allow it to drift. And it requires simply an attentive mind. Well “simply”, it’s a nice way of saying it. It’s quite a thing to get your mind to just stop being concerned about your life, stop insisting on wanting to make decisions.

The longer that I do this, I’ve tried so many ways to explain to people that when you use your strategy, decision making seems so straightforward. And that the mind cannot make the decision, it can’t. If your mind makes the decision you’ve lost your cognition. You do not have the right motivation. You cannot be the being that you’re intended to be. And you can only have that kind of attentiveness of mind when it’s relaxed, when it can kick up its feet in the back seat of the limo, make itself really comfy, have a nice, nice view and watch the movie. And watch the movie driven in the way that it’s correct so that you see with the perspective that is essential to the expression of your unique awareness. It is what we’re here for.

We’re not like the beast on the savanna. Oh yes, I can romanticize the beauty of the natural order, the beauty of the consciousness field in the grasp of the planetary program. But we’re much, much different than that. We are not here to herd and homogenize, to all run blindly in the program together. That’s ok if you’re sheep in the field. There is no other consequence. There is no awakening as a possibility. But for us to follow our motivation is to follow the road to our uniqueness, our unique mind and the beauty of our unique mind.

This is what it’s for. It’s for the seeing. And you see in context, the context that your motivation gives you. And it is that very seeing, what you can grasp from that, that you can express as outer authority, what gives you value to the other. There are so many relationships in a life, but what do you remember? The ones that gave you something, an inspiration, a truth, honesty, love, whatever, but that’s what we remember. It’s what means something to us. We all crave outer authority, unique outer authority, like children in a high school that pray that there will be a teacher that can turn them on, because it’s important for us. We need outer authority. But not just the old homogenized.

This is the time to break away from that, to express unique authority. You can only do that when you are properly motivated, correctly motivated. It is only then that you have access to the cognition underneath. It is only then that you can make intelligent observations, and your intelligence, your gift, your specialization." Ra Uru Hu

So if you're looking at the secrets for success for a projector, first things first, you've got a master system. If you have mastery of that system, why would anybody come to you for guidance? So mastery of the system study is first and foremost, that absolutely must be your top priority. The best investment you have in this life is not anything you own. It's right here, in your development of your personal potential to master a system and to guide others. So in order to recognize which one to go into and who you have to wait for the outside world reality to come to you first. Now, I tell you something. This gives you a lot of power because it means anybody that's not actually coming and knocking at your door. It's not your trip. You do not have to go chase after people. In fact, that gives you a lot less power when it comes to negotiating things when it comes to them honoring you for what you have to give.

Just think of it like this. Remember back in the day when we had kings and Queens and people would come and ask, they would ask for an audience. Imagine it like that. People need to ask for an audience with you and when they ask, invite, who has the power you do, you have the power and you need to use your gifts, your skills, your talent, and your way of seeing things to see if they recognize you for you and what you have to give projectors. Most of them have really big picture views, really broad perspectives that can see all the way down to the details. There's a lot of different ways that we are here to function. We are here to master our human environment and perfect that human environment, and so the biggest way we do that is discernment. What are your superpowers? What are your super strengths?

What are your super skills? The definition in your chart, the areas between those two colored in centers, whatever that channel happens to be, that's your super power. That's your gift. That's your skill. So how do you honor that? You stay away from making decisions out in the openness and you use that openness as wisdom. When you're partnered with another person, you make sure that you guide others to their authority by using an honoring your authority first and leading by example. We absolutely must do that for ourselves and for others guys and again, delegate. It's not for you to do everything yourself. No projector is an island. We're not here to be the team of one. A projector is always about a team of two, you and that other person in your life, in that moment, whoever it is that you're focusing on, so one of the things that we need to get really good at is learning how to ask questions, not leading questions.

"I see that you need to do this", so I'm going to ask "can you do this?" No. Go into questions that help that person align with who they are for themselves, if they're a Generator. Who they are for others, if they're a Projector. Help ask those questions. Give them your perspective. In right timing, we're recognized and invited. For me, when emotionally clear I can ask a question that unlocks the visible, energy that's there for the other person to see and that's so valuable and beneficial for other people. So the other success secret I want to pass onto you is taking care of yourself. I remember that was one of the challenges that we have here in the room right now is how do we take care of yourself first, how do you take care of yourself so that you're not drained by others? Well, I like to think of myself as a, as a pro athlete.

There's certain things that a professional athlete will absolutely take care of their body every single day, even if they're not training. They're resting consciously, mindfully, intentionally. So taking care of ourselves isanother big success secret. And again, I already mentioned if you're working with people one on one, that's where your super power, your super strength is every single one of those channels, with the exception of four of them, are designed to empower or share or support with that other person one person at a time. Okay? So if you continue on in this journey, I'm going to show you where and how your design is here to be successful. Okay? So defining extreme self care is a question that Jazz is asking. Yes, extreme self care means you make sure that you go to bed early. That's extreme, isn't it? In our, in our society where we're addicted to our, a items of watching TV or watching our facebook feed or youtube or whatever it happens to be in forcing a bed time is an extreme.

When I was younger, I was doing an Ironman Triathlon. And, in order to wake up in the morning at 5:00 so that I could be out there hitting the pavement first thing in the morning, I would have to go to bed early. So as a pro athlete, if you're going to get up and train the next day, sleep is the first imperative. The next piece is what you put in your body. Everything you absorb into your body, whether it be food, whether it be the programming that you decided to watch, whether it be a what you listened to on your daily commute, whether it be the people that you're with, it's almost like you're eating those people, so surrounding yourself with people who are in alignment with the success that you want to see for yourself is important as well, and I get it sometimes we don't have a choice. Where are you working? Where do you live, who you live with, but recognize that you need to protect your aura. Taking care of yourself like a pro athlete means you don't go and hang out in places where you can get contaminated with either food or drugs or people, even people that their frequency is unhealthy and not aligned with yours. Does that help? Yes. Okay, great. Thank you.

LAVEENA: Okay. So let's go back to the next piece of your success secrets as projectors, as advisors. So the next piece is what? What are the challenges that you're here to advise on because you as a Projector are here to be an Advisor. That is the biggest thing to recognize is that we are here to advise the other people. Now how are we here to advise other people?

B stands for the area of where you actually Be. I'll just put be here where you be. Okay. Where are you? Be is described in the chart. Where. Where do you imagine that, that is?Where do you be?

So if that's the unconscious nodal environment. That's what I was looking for was nodal environment (your Unconscious Direction). Where would you see, how would you see?

PAUL: Personality Nodes.

LAVEENA: Yup! That's it! Challenges you can advise on are or where you are here to fulfill your incarnation cross purpose, your life purpose is where you be and how you see, so if you were to just look at a person's design and look at the Sun/Earth on their personality side and the nodal environment, the north and south nodes, the future direction and past direction, you would get a really deep sense of this person's movie, of their life purpose and how they are here to fulfill it. That is where you can provide guidance. Now it's not necessarily that those people have their life purpose as your nodes. However, those people are going to show up and you're going to find a really strong resonance with them.

It may be that the people coming to you are experiencing that and one of their larger life cycles like the Saturn or the Uranus or the Chiron. Maybe it's their solar return. Maybe they just need to have guidance from somebody, advice from somebody who sees things the way that you see things, so going into my example, my nodal environments is 27, 28, so I get a lot of Cross of Unexpected and 42 and 32, I get a lot of Cross of Maya this over the years. I just kept noticing why do I keep getting these same people all the time, the same cross. That's one of the reasons is because when you as a being are resonating or vibrating to your frequency. Now there's people being drawn to you that have something that they need from you and for me, it's the purpose of my mind process fulfilled and I happen to teach Human Design.

It doesn't have to be human design, but all of you as projectors have some kind of system that you're here to be of service to the other width, to master how people behave the way they do or why they do what they do. Some way of being able to guide their energy, their awareness, their perspective, their process, whatever it happens to be that they need from you that you've decided to specialize in. So if it's being and seeing and we have a design that gets nourished by life outside of what our unique differentiated design is, what do you imagine that W. stands for? Kind of teasing you guys because I haven't taught you this before, but I'm wondering if you can guess.

PAUL: Wisdom from the openness.

LAVEENA: Thank you Paul. Exactly!

You are a wizard in that openness, you are a wisdom person in that openness.

I had somebody in BG5; we have a profit potential training program on Wednesdays that I'm co-teaching with Karen. And one of the students came in and said, well, you know, I've got this defined throat center and I have all these wonderful channels and they're in these circuitries... So does that mean that I'm a wizard? I can speak with all of those voices. No, actually the true wizard in the open throat is a completely open throat that can speak in any different language that can communicate with any different voice. Think about Celine Dion, open throat, you know, I don't know if it's a completely open throat. Lady Gaga has an open throat, and they're both singers. That's how they make their money. So in the openness is where we have wisdom where we can advise on.

LAVEENA: Let's go to the next piece then and we have Why? If you've ever heard of Simon Sinek, he's a big why person, what's your big why?

So our big why is how we are here to help. We are here to help. This is our primary operative. You are here to help advise other people. How we do that? What do you think that sends for right there in human design terms, its Incarnation Cross. What is the incarnation? Cross stand for?

JULIE: Life purpose?

LAVEENA: Bingo! It's our life purpose, so how are you here to help? Each one of you has a unique cross and a unique public role. Your ability to be who you are is deeply tied to how your profile shows up in the world which BG5 five language we call public role, so your public role is going to show you how you are here to help. As an example, and we're not going to go through every all of the incarnation crosses or all of the Life Purposes or even all of the profiles right now, but I'll give you my example.

LAVEENA: I am a determined discover (3) and a practical marketer (5). That's how I Contagiate other people with my mind's process fulfillment purpose fulfilled through mine, quarter of initiation in the wheel where it is about me being able to Congtagiate other people with the way that my mind functions, the ones who recognize and invite me and the ones who want my level of how my life purpose shows up, so "It's innocent instruments of fate who can step in and change the fate of others through learning experiences and discovery." Being able to commit to an experience or an experiment like human design takes a lot of perseverance and that's where my 29 is in line three in the Earth. How I ground my core essence in being able to experience what it's like! Two of my Incarnation Cross gates are in generator areas there about the energy of the sacral.

So it's a big part of why I'm here to help is my life purpose. So for you guys, what I want to invite you to do at this moment is you. If you're particularly if you're strategic and you need kind of a focus or maybe when you listened back to this after as a receptive person that you kind of feel this out or brainstorm and go, okay, so "My incarnation crosses this, I know my public role is that..." when you go through Rave Cartography with me, you'll find out your public role and we haven't gotten there yet in this class, but you'll find that now you understand what your big why is from your incarnation cross.

Anyone want to add kind of any inspirations or recognitions about now you know what your incarnation crosses? That's your life purpose and that's your big why. Do you have any thing that you want to add or share to that? And you don't have to do it now. It could be later on when we look at your charts, we could talk more about it, but if there's something that's on your mind that you would like to share, please feel free.

KEVIN: Yeah. Going back to what you were saying about recognition and invitation. That's so important because it's really, it's about timing. It creates the correct timing for you to serve, and then the life purpose. I could just, I also have the Cross of Contagion, I've been with a specific focus honing in on that in my business and it, and I see the effect it has on the network. I see the effect it has on people and in that awareness of the life purpose has, has grounded me, and anchored me to be able to continuously be inspired to, to share that my message and to teach people human design. So that why is, is, is crucial, but that the life purpose gives a definitive description on that life purpose.

And it’s the whole story in the sense that it is the synthesis of all the mechanical information that lies underneath. Everything about Type and Strategy is that it points us towards the only viable solution in terms of the being able to liberate the human spirit from the drudgery of the homogenized life and the dilemma of what it is to be not-self.

We are not equipped to simply be motivated by propaganda to transform our perception of life. It’s not enough for us to be moved, whether spirituality, religiously, mystically. The fact of the matter is that the mind is something that is helpless in being able to transform the life. And the only thing that truly aligns the life is the ability to be able to know where to find the essence of personal truth. I guess that’s really one of the most difficult places for a human being to go to. That is, to deny the possibility that the other has your truth. It takes a great deal of courage to be able to not only embrace your own Authority, but to live it. It is quite a thing to live your own Authority.

LAVEENA: Welcome, I'm so excited that you're here and that we're having some fun now with looking at the Projector! This training is geared specifically for people who have taken LYD, ABC and are in Cartography, so there may be some qualities about what I'm saying, the ideas that I'm putting across it you may not be really familiar with if you haven't already taken those classes or you're not already in cartography.

So I've got my students here who are in Cartography right now and I'm going to ask you guys for your input after this presentation because this is going to be the first time I'm presenting the information that I've got prepared for you and I'm also gonna ask for your input. If you would like to share your chart and you don't mind being seen by other students.

I'm going to share this training with my Patreon community which is saved on youtube and then I put them in there. They're private and then I put them over to Patreon and then that way future students and people who are subscribers can also learn from the knowledge. So that's available to you guys. And we'll go do some chart work after I present to the information that I want to share with you. Does that sound good? Yeah? Okay, cool.

So, I want to show you what I've got prepared for you right now. We're looking at some Projector success secrets. I'm so excited because you're going to think that this is like super simple, but if you, if you don't know any of human design, it's kind of complex and you're like all over the place and you're lost.

If you're having challenges with succeeding and having challenges with enough energy, having challenges with your relationships, you're having challenges with making enough money. These are the secrets that are going to help you overcome that. You guys want to know what they are? There's only five, just five. I'm just so excited. Okay. Very first one who, who you are here to serve. So all of those projectors are designed to serve certain people and that is going to come through. We know this, our recognition and invitation, but let's redefine what recognition and invitation is because recognition and I don't want to say redefined, but just really established the boundary of what it is or the foundation of what it is. So that we're very, very clear on what recognition is and I want to invite you guys to go ahead and share with me too, if you have any inspirations, do you want to unmute and join the conversation?

This is not a lecture only piece. This is a communication of all of us, all of our wisdom, all of our knowledge, because you're in my classes, you've recognized me. Recognition comes with an energy exchange. It goes both ways. We have to have a recognition of an other in order to see how they can be made successful. Other people need to recognize our value to help them become successful. So it's a two way street.

Now invitation is another thing. One of the things I remember coming across human design in the very beginning and people going like, “Oh, I invite you to go do this or I invite you to go do that,” but they're not giving any kind of energy exchange to help support that invitation. So invitation comes with some kind of energy exchange. There's a give that comes from the other side that is going to help fuel your ability to succeed because we know as, as projectors, we don't have a constant connection with the sacral so we don't have a consistent ability to generate, we don't have consistent energy to manifest because we're not Manifestors (energy to the throat, consistent energy to make things happen).

So in order for us to fulfill our purpose, for us to serve, we have to have first the recognition-two way street. Then the invitation that comes with some kind of energy exchange. Is that clear for everybody and what do you have to add to that particular piece? If there is anything that you would like to share, an example that comes to mind, something that really, helped you recognize how this works for, for you now, if you've been in my classes, you've heard me talk about this before, you've heard me talk about who you are here to serve, which we know through recognition invitation, that's how we are invited into energy, experiences, communion with other people. So…

KENNETH: Our Aura focused and absorbing, and penetrating the core of a person. So, if it's not invited, we can become bitter and it can be too much for people to handle. Honestly. A lot of people don't want to go that deep and they don't want to get that honest and they don't want to face that or to be seen in that way. So if it's not invited it, it'll just have you know, an opposite effect of what we're trying to intend. to.

LAVEENA: Yeah, it can drive people away. Great add to that, because we know that for us, the way that we can penetrate into the core of a person, it's not just their identity center, it's actually the entire auric field of a being. We get in there and we go deep, like we really are curious, insatiably, curious. That's what drives all of those projected channels that we have. All of those channels that are projected in the design are curious about the other person can help the other person succeed. So that energy is focused, penetrating, absorbing, bringing in the conditioning, which allows us to recognize. Very specific conditioning that allows us to recognize. So everything for us has to be about discernment of the right other. The biggest projector success secret is the right other and all of this is giving you how to discern which is the right other. Now this is just the beginning. This is the foundation of fundamentals. There's more stuff we'll talk about beyond that as far as how you discern, but that's the first step. Our success depends on who we have in our lives. Anyone else have anything that they want to share before we move onto this next piece?

JULIE: I just wanted to say that I get asked a lot, the question about -and so I thank you for bringing it up- the question about the projector and a lot of people have a misconception that it only goes into the G of the other person, so, and it's a whole auric field exchange and that's one of the differences between the open g and then the Projector because the open g goes, it's the reading of the G, it goes into the GE, but projectors go into the whole aura.

LAVEENA: Yeah, that is such a good point to make. And to reinforce, Julie, thank you for saying that because what we are as beings are not designed to operate independently and I think that's one of the key pieces that once you recognize you are not an island, you don't have to do everything yourself.

You're not here to be all about you. It's about the collaboration with the other person. Of course, in alignment with what your design is here to do.

What does Human Design say about our Dreams?

We spend about a third of our lives asleep. We have a different design in our waking state, that of our mammalian heritage. That means a third of our time alive is being conditioned as a form which is as alien to who we think we are as being a dolphin or a dog!

Mainstream science of dream interpretation is vastly different than the Human Design System Dream Interpretation and the role of nighttime dreams are viewed quite differently by us professionals of this fascinating tool for self-discovery.

“Sigmund Freud and C.G. Jung were pioneers in the field of dream psychology who theorized that dreams represent our deepest unconscious desires and impulses. They popularized the method of interpreting dream content with abstract symbolism and free association.

Most people interested in dreams have heard of Jungian dream theory, which states that dreams reveal more than they conceal. Carl Jung rejected Sigmund Freud’s dream theory interpretation—Freud believed dreams were mainly a product of discharging sexual (tabooed) impulses. He maintained that our dreams held important clues to be interpreted for insight into how our minds think.

Jung, on the other hand, stated that dreams are a natural expression of our imagination and needn't be interpreted for them to perform their function. Instead, he suggested that dreams are doing the work of integrating the conscious and unconscious aspects of our psyche.

The Human Design System’s DreamRave Design

Unlike Jung and Freud's theories, Human Design's DreamRave element is not about teaching us how to interpret our dreams for personal meaning. DreamRave is also not dependent on us remembering or not what happened. It’s not about lucid dreaming, either.

The DreamRave knowledge is yet another compelling aspect of the Human Design System that is astounding in its accuracy. Your DreamRave chart identifies your sleeping design to provide you with valuable data about why you dream what you do. The insights into what Ra called the "Night Forces" can be quite profound and hard to swallow as not being personal if you've spent a lifetime identifying with your dreams as “yours.”

We Are Receptors

You have a Strategy and Authority, a way of navigating through the conditioning field so that you're not drawn away from your possibilities; but, not when you're asleep, let alone all those human beings sleeping in somebody else's aura.”

What’s Your Weakness?

Your DreamRave may have an area of pressure called a "weak point." Some people have a weak point in their sleeping Design. A weak point shows where you are vulnerable, susceptible to certain influences that are not you. When your DreamRave Gates are bridging Gates in your waking Design, they represent areas of weakness that can filter into daytime awareness. If you are not aware of this, these areas can cause you to make decisions that are not in alignment with your true nature. Strategy and Authority are your protection from the weak point.

"... when you‘re looking at your Design and you‘re looking at your DreamRave the first exercise for you is to look at those gates or definition that translate over from your Design to the DreamRave and begin to look at them as your weakest point, and begin to think about them in that context, begin to see that this is your most vulnerable place. And then to begin to watch what it‘s like for you each day when you begin your process to see how these themes that are there are going to emerge one way or another, and they do. It is the brilliance of the program."

One of my Deepest conditioning elements is Sex

Here’s an example of nighttime conditioning. If we were to take Gate 50 into my waking Design’s split definition (two areas of colored in centers separated from each other create a split), you can see that because Gate 27 is hanging in my undefined sacral center, so adding the 50 would create a channel.

See how in my DreamRave Chart, Gate 27 is not there but Gate 50 is—Gate 50 is one of the deepest areas of weakness for me. Together gates 27-50 create the Channel of Preservation, having nothing to do with sex in the waking Design—but in the sleeping, mammalian-like Design, it governs reproduction - ie sex.

I remember growing up, all the way up until a few years ago (when my human design experiment really started to change me) I would often have dreams with fearful, sometimes sexual themes. Imagine how disturbed I was to also experience lots of massacres, cataclysms and bodies decaying! Gate 42 is from the demon realm, and it was responsible for a lot of nightmares for me before I started getting realigned.

The understanding derived through getting a DreamRave reading several years ago brought me so much relief from the confusion that identifying with those dreams can bring! I even remember killing people in my dreams, and waking up thinking, what the heck is wrong with me!

Can you imagine? 

What’s holding you back from Living Your Design? Conditioning.

The DreamRave can show you what’s holding you back from living your design. In changing the example above slightly—say you have both gates 27 and 50 (the Channel of Preservation) during sleep but your Human Design chart does not have that channel defined, and your authority is Solar Plexus.

The dilemma here is that you are so be deeply conditioned to behave in a Splenic (spontaneous) way, it can be a tough challenge to cultivate the patience necessary in decision-making as an Emotional being.

The benefits of understanding your DreamRave

People who have delved into their DreamRave increased ability to notice the conditioning pressures at night. By understanding the dynamics at work, you are less likely to be held in the thrall of night time conditioning.

Many people who have experimented with implementing a strict routine of following their Primary Health System with their first meal of the day have also found tremendous benefits in terms of increased awareness and ability to follow their Strategy and Authority.

This has certainly been the case for me; I began following my PHS in January of 2013. Can’t remember killing anyone in my dreams since 2014.

Going to sleep correctly for your Type and sleeping in your own aura prepares you to enter into the dream state so that what you can take from it is of value to you, and wake up as yourself!

DreamRave study is a powerful and rewarding way of analyzing dreams that can empower you to let go of what isn't your authentic waking truth.

The more I decondition, the less attractive and real those movies seem, as I’m captivated more by the real-life movie I watch in the people who come to me for advice in their romantic partnerships.

Remember entering into relationships correctly is about Strategy and Authority, not what your mind thinks about any of this stuff. Yes, this is incredibly fascinating. Yet remember to follow your body into alignment. Personally I find great fun in unlocking the mysteries of how we connect, feels like reading those Nancy Drew novels when I was a kid.

In Human Design, there are layers and layers and layers of “keynoting” words or word-phrases that help us understand the function of the 64 Genetic Codes and their 6 different binary ways they show up in humans.

In this article, I’ll introduce the love codes that can give you a general theme of how you love as an introduction and point you to further resources to learn about them. I first learned about these as they were briefly mentioned in my Human Design Foundations classes. You can watch a 30 minute video of me presenting on them here.

THE GENETIC IMPRINTING of LOVE

Ask a physicist, and they’ll tell you love is chemistry.

Ask a romantic, and they’ll tell you it’s a yearning that drives all great fables.

The psychotherapist will tell you there are several kinds of love.

“Love” can be a generic term, for there are so many different nuances to the feelings of love.

One thing we can all agree on: it is impossible to thrive in life without love. Love can seem like an eternal mystery, the idealized myth of fairytales… but when you begin to look at love through the lens of Human Design mechanics, you’ll find that love is all about connectivity.

There are certain hexagrams Gates in the Rave I-Ching that carry the frequency we call love. In Human Design we call these (hexagrams) the “Love Gates.”

Whether you have all the Gates of Love consistently defined in your bodygraph, none of them or something in between, the way you experience those feelings we term love is outlined in these ten gates. If activated in an undefined center, you will be conditioned by that gate anytime it gets defined. If the gate is open (not colored in) then you’re here to experience and can amplify all the ways love can show up in your life. Wisdom is derived here if operating correctly. Rely upon Strategy and Authority to make decisions and the love nurtures you in this life. Make decisions from trying to find or hang onto these themes of love in your life and witness the pain of the mind manifest your not self suffering.

There are two primary themes of love; Transcendent and Mundane. The four Transcendent gates of love are looking for love through the other, and are rather impersonal. Rarely do these gates carry the powerful, intense feelings of love that the Mundane gates do.

The seven everyday, personal, “Mundane” (as Ra called them) gates of love are looking for love with someone, emerging according to the theme of that gate.

There is one gate (10) that carries both Mundane and Transcendent Love themes.

“The nature of the real Tantra, the love of humanity and the love of the body, they actually go out—and this is very technical—they actually go out through the 10th gate. That is, the 15 goes through the 10, it’s opposite, and the 46 goes through its 25, it’s opposite. Now this is the vaguest system in our health process. In other words, this is literally the way we breathe and live, okay. And it’s a very important circuit that’s in the body. It’s not a circuit I teach you, because it’s something that’s involved in health and in medical practice to understand this circuit. So when you’re looking at, for example, the love of humanity (gate 15), that the natural outlet of the love of humanity is to go through the 10 and either to be awakened, to find your form, or to follow your convictions. That’s one.

On the other side, the love of the body (gate 46) leads to initiation and an entry into communion. In other words, those movements are like this. So you can see what happens is that the individual Tantra fuels our direction and the themes of our direction whereas the Tantra that is collective then goes back into the body itself, goes back down. It’s not looking for the Throat,—goes back down into us. So, for example, the nature of the 15-5 establishes its rhythm to find the perfected form. In other words, to bring that rhythm to a perfected form and in bringing that to a perfected form, the ability to have the energy necessary to struggle in this life. In other words, there’s a whole movement that goes around.

The same thing is true for the love of the body. To initiate the community to the love of the body. To initiate the community to the body as temple which is why we build temples. We build temples because the 46 leads naturally to the 25, it’s opposite which is the priest or the priestess who says we will give them a temple for them. We will create a temple for them. We will create a body. This is the body of faith. You go into a church, you go into a synagogue, you go into a mosque. What you’re going into is the 29-46, going out the 25-51, and down into the 40-37.” Ra Uru Hu 

How Your Human Design Charts Connect

Connecting to people who have these gates consistently active in their design, you experience them as naturally loving. It’s just the way they’re hardwired. Their way of searching for a greater love is to be loving - it doesn’t necessarily mean that they love you specifically; the love itself isn’t necessarily in their other.

In a relationship with these people, it can feel like they are looking beyond you for even greater love. This can be a possibly disturbing experience for others to connect to when attempts are made to make their impersonal loving personal… don’t get offended when they don’t love you back. Its just mechanics.

People with these Gates can be very nice to have around despite their love rarely feeling personal. Transcendent love doesn't have to be personal to feel good and give you that sense of joy and possibility of life with the other. These four gates have a transpersonal quality deeply rooted in the G Center.

Again, this love goes beyond simply identifying with another - it’s finding love through someone. Rarely ever felt as strongly as personal love, transcendent love gates make up the Cross of the Vessel of Love.

The Mundane Gates of Love

Mundane Gates of love are looking for love with somebody through the dynamic connection and unique expression particular to each gate. There is nothing more intense than the definitions in composite charts that involve these gates when they bring connections to each other.

Each of these Gates carries with it a demand for personal connectivity. It is through these seven Mundane Gates - 10, 44, 40, 58, 41, 28, 55 - that we get our illusions of personal love

Mundane gates of love operate through mundane terminology or keynotes - that is, this is the ordinary, every day, earthbound kind of love that finds love through these gate specific themes with another.

Layers of Interconnectivity - the Human Design Love Connection

All these ways of connecting are part of our program of learning and evolution. Each and every one of us has multiple layers of connectivity to others. But whether we have a connection through these Transcendent or Mundane gates, we call the emotion we feel through those connections Love. Knowing these gates can help you understand and recognize why situations can be uncomfortable, and free you from repeating unhealthy behavioral patterns.

The Love Gates describe the many themes of love that we can experience with all the people in our lives. Because everything is a duality, these can also be gates of “I don’t love,” or even hate, as well.

Most of us have some of these gates consistently defined within us, and it’s through these gates that we can learn about love from our connection with others by being ourselves.

If you have an activated Love Gate in an open center, when someone comes along with the electromagnetic (the opposite gate completing that channel) you may experience that relationship as “The One” and most likely may feel a stronger sensation of love than the other feels for you.

If you have an activated Love Gate in a defined center, your love for the person who brings the electromagnetic simply isn’t as powerful or compelling. It’s still there, but you don’t have the same response. You’re naturally investigating other connectivities.

The moment that you can be yourself and see the love for what it truly is, you can accept the other for who they are and be with them without trying to change or fix them. Our unique capacity for love develops within us through following our Strategy and Authority; not only for the benefit of others, but also for ourselves.

Journey through the Centers of the Human Design Bodygraph - Head Center

Let's Journey through the Centers of the Human Design Bodygraph! Here’s the source of mental pressures in your life - your Head Center. As the Center that provides inspiration as well as questions, doubts, and confusion, it is also the location of your personality "crystal," which is made of dark matter. Do you see all the calculations in black on the right side of the bodygraph? The neutrino imprinting you received the moment you left your mother's womb is what you identify with as your personality, and the personality crystal is what received that imprint.

Have you noticed that of all the centers in the bodygraph, only one protrudes outside of the outline of the person? That's because this crystal sits on top of the head - not inside the physical body! When you surrender to being the witness to your life rather than trying to control it, you get to see the beauty of what it is to be you - as yourself. Fulfilling your life purpose brings you the sense of satisfaction, success, peace or surprise in life that you were born to experience.

The biological correspondence of the Head Center is the Pineal gland (aka third eye) which is an endocrine system gland that produces Melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of sleep patterns.

Having just three gates - the least of all the Centers - the Head Center brings an incredible amount of mental pressure that is processed by the Ajna below it to make sense of the doubt, confusion, and inspirations. The Head Center pressures our minds to seek inspiration, to make sense of the past and project into the future for us to see and share the nature of what it is to be us.

When your Head Center is defined, you have a fixed and reliable way of experiencing the mental pressure, which is detailed in the gates and lines you have defined there. Learn to enjoy your defined mind as a playground of measurement and comparison without making decisions about yourself from this place. You can practice tuning into the correct timing for decision-making using your strategy and honoring your inner authority to discover the uniqueness of your authentic being.

As you read about the Head Center gates below, have your bodygraph handy to take special note of the ones imprinted in your Human Design. If your Head Center is defined, you can be mentally inspiring for other people. The gates you have activated are the very specific ways you consistently experience your inspiration and pressures to resolve doubt and confusion.

If your Head Center is undefined, the gates waiting to be activated are themes you are genetically programmed to experience when your Head Center is defined by transits or people in your environment. Remember, the mind is always an outer authority only - follow your Strategy and Authority to make correct decisions that lead you to your unique purpose and expression of fulfillment.

As always, remember that Human Design is a dualistic system; the "this and that" of it all means that every gate can express as its opposite as well.

Gate 64 - The Gate of Confusion

Pressure to make sense of the past and to resolve chaos and confusion is shared through Gate 64, “Before Completion,” which is an abstract, collective energy. This pressure of mental activity (or not) is an energy that brings cyclical mental images from the past, all jumbled together. Mental stress comes from trying to make sense of and make decisions from this cyclical energy of mental images of all your past experiences.

Gate 61 - The Gate of Mystery

Inspiration leads to “Inner Truth” which is a mutative pressure to know something new, to know the unknowable. If you have this gate defined, there’s a pressure within to understand life's mysteries, a spontaneous individual knowing that can be empowering to yourself or others. Like all individual gates, this is an acoustic knowing that has a melancholic chemistry and operates in a pulse.

Gate 63 - The Gate of Doubt

Gate63, "After Completion," is always being pressured / underpressure to make sense of mental patterns through doubts, and toproject into the future new patterns based on logic. Doubt and suspicion are natural pressures when the pattern does not project successfully into the future. These questions can be deeply stirring, and it takes determination to find the way through your doubts or share your recognition or the question and search for the answer.

If your Head Center is defined, the conditioned behavior possible is that you may turn mental pressure in on yourself, causing deep anxiety, self-doubt or depression. You may try to resolve this pressure by taking action with hasty and inappropriate mental decisions. You can be incapable of remaining patient and miss opportunities for inspiration.

The effect of your defined Head Center on undefined Head Center people is that you can pressure others to act on things that inspire you that may not be correct for them. Conversely, you can also pressure others to give up things that are worthy of inspiration.

Your behavior as someone with a defined Head Center when operating correctly is that you naturally create a mental pressure in the world to grasp and understand things. You are comfortable with the experience of confusion, doubt and clarity as a natural process with its own inner timing and resolution. You can uplift and empower others with your insights and inspiration and be an outer authority for others.

Undefined or Open Head Center

If you have an Undefined Head Center, your inspiration comes from external conditioning. You have an openness and flexibility in experiencing mental pressure, with themes particular to the gate and line activations present in your design.

When operating incorrectly, you may notice that you lose focus easily, becoming lost or overwhelmed and make decisions from doubt, confusion or wanting to understand WHY?! If you have an undefined Head Center, ask yourself... am I occupied with thinking about myself, or questions that don’t matter to me? Am I trying to answer everyone else’s questions without invitation?

Trying to release mental pressure through action, or trying to resolve other people's questions by taking on the worries of others may result in you experiencing the not-self theme of your Type.

Also, if you have an Open Head (with no gates defined), not knowing what to focus on, or what is really important to you is a strong theme when you are not operating correctly. It is so very important for you never to give authority to your open head - the moment that you do that, your actions are from a deeply conditioned place, and you cannot live out your unique potential.

When you are operating correctly as someone with an undefined or open Head Center, you have an ability to develop wisdom about the variety of mental pressures you encounter in life. Because you tend to amplify the confusion, doubts, and pressure to know, there is an opportunity to cultivate wisdom through the exploration of ideas and inspiration coming from all directions. Being open to the wonder of the unknown and uncertainty is healthy for you.

When operating correctly (following your strategy and authority), you won’t act on mental pressure or take on the pressure of other people’s need for answers. You can simply enjoy the pressure to know more without becoming identified with it or make decisions from it. Enjoying the questions and trusting that doubts or confusion will become clear (or not) is another signpost. And using your mind as an outer authority for others to draw from, rather than as a decision making tool for yourself, can become second-nature.

The Mechanics of Conditioning In Action

Personally, my undefined Head Center has a Dormant Potential of Gate 61.3 via a Conscious Moon. This is also what is known as a Conditioning Receptor. Anytime my head gets turned on, this fixed gate is how I learn about mental pressure, and my driving force is to want to know the mysteries, to discover what works (through experiencing what doesn't!) when it comes to resolving this individualized internal pressure. When invited, I can use this pressure to help other people know things about their inner truth. It's one of the ways I can make money by providing my perspective when I am invited to collaborate with my clients. From the Rave I-Ching:

3rd line - Interdependence

It is exceedingly difficult for truth to stand alone.

Moon Exalted The ability to establish relationships for the actualization of truths, and through their nurturing and protective power to ensure a stable environment in which they can continue to grow. The pressure to know enhanced through collaboration."

The Harmonic Influencer here is at the other side of the channel, Gate 24. This gate makes my conditioned mind think I have to rationalize every personal decision to deal with and resolve the internal pressure! It can also force me to want to open my mouth and share the rationalizations my mind sees for other people's behavior. 
 
My Not-Self Gates are the Hexagram 63 and Hexagram 64. This is where my mind can see that the other person has a problem and is confused or at ease, doubtful or has clarity.

Questions for Inquiry: 

Have you noticed yet that your mind will continually try and make your decisions? Have you noticed how your mental dialog relates to your undefined/open centers? Making decisions from the pressures of mind won't relieve the pressure for long and can often lead to frustration, bitterness, anger or disappointment. What examples of the thoughts below, which may come up on behalf of your deeply conditioned mind, do you recognize in you?

I need some inspiration.
Maybe if I do this or go there, I’ll find inspiration.
I need to figure out the answer to these questions.
Where can I go to find answers; who has the answers?
I have to understand this; I need to make sense of things.
Am I supposed to be interested in that?
What am I supposed to think about?

No matter the configuration of your Head Center, you are perfectly designed exactly as you are. Remember that everyone has everything present and functioning in the bodygraph. Certain areas are consistently energized and specific in the way they show up in your life, while others are open to experiencing the abundance of possibilities and potentials that you can learn from and hopefully grow wise about over time.

You were born unique. Following your Strategy and Authority is key to releasing your mind's conditioning and control over your life. Over time, this experimentation with Living Your Design expands your awareness, eventually transforming your physical body’s chemistry and your experience of your life.

What are the Four Transformations
of Human Design?

In a previous blog post, we introduced you to Variable, an advanced area of the Human Design System. Like Variable, the Four Transformations are what we recommend people look into once they are consistently following their Strategy and Authority. This four-part process of deep deconditioning is for those who are ready to embark on a journey that can bring along profound change.

I began the Differentiation Degree Program when I moved to Sedona, Arizona. The DD Program is 2+ more years of advanced Human Design studies beyond the 3.5 required to become a Human Design Analyst. For more on this program, and to find certified Analysts that can help guide you personally through these transformations, see the end of this article. 

I advise that you look into this aspect of the Human Design System if you have been experimenting with living your design and are whole-heartedly committed to your process with this knowledge. Experiencing the highest levels of differentiation is possible with the dedication of surrendering to living out the beauty and uniqueness of your design - and as always, it begins with the catalyst of following your Strategy and Authority.

Humans all eat, live places, see things and are motivated to take action. As the Science of Differentiation, the Human Design System offers a unique blueprint of how you are designed to do these things in a way that is authentic to the being you are.

The magic of Human Design is that it offers us a user manual that points the way to knowing and loving ourselves. Even better, Human Design helps us learn how to treat our body, the vehicle we ride in through this life, in the correct way. Treating the body the way it was designed to be handled leads to the correct operation of our personality. Then the passenger (who you think you are) watching the movie is able to enjoy the ride, no matter how bumpy it is - because the vehicle was designed to handle the terrain it then encounters.

Different types of cars require different types of fuel, care, and maintenance to operate at their top performance level. Just as our bodies need specific methods of taking in nourishment, both from food and the environment, to operate optimally. And just as specific vehicles provide their passengers different views, with special performance capacities, so too our bodies can have particular ways of seeing and being motivated to action.

Beneath the hexagram lines of your Personality and Design Sun and Earth, there are three values named Color, Tone, and Base. Color is the exit frequency of the neutrino’s movement through your Personality and Design crystals, and it is what determines your Primary Health System (PHS).

In Human Design, your Color in your design Sun and Earth is where you can discover your unique way of taking in food optimally for your body, known as your “Determination.”

Radical differentiation begins with supporting your brain system. Want to learn how you are designed to nourish your body with food to maximize the functioning of your brain, and maintain your optimal health and achieve longevity? The first transformation provides the way your bioform is designed to be nourished from the inside out through how you take food into your body to support your unique metabolism and develop your cerebral capacity to its fullest potential.

This is not primarily about what you take into your body. Rather, it is about the conditions and circumstances that support your body being able to extract from the food exactly what nourishment it needs to support its differentiated potential.

Some people could see the benefits in a few days, with others experiencing them within a few weeks or months. As you continue your program of following your PHS over a period of 7 years, the cellular renewal that naturally takes place results in a body (vehicle) that is more relaxed. What also happens is that you, the passenger (your mind) becomes more at ease and comfortable in your own skin. If you consistently follow your PHS, you may discover startling improvements in your well-being and shifts in your perspective.

Possible benefits of following your Primary Health System may include easier or better Digestion of food, improved brain function and strengthened sensory abilities. You may experience physical and emotional detoxification symptoms as you decondition from what isn't you, over time becoming your differentiated self.

The results of PHS supports your consciousness in being grounded in what is really going on around you rather than being caught up in what your Not-Self mind is measuring according to it's conditioned adaptive strategies.

"Primary Health System - Environment"

Once you are well on the path of following your Strategy & Authority and PHS in terms of how to nourish your physical body, your change in perception can guide you to discovering the environment you are designed to function in optimally. If you have not yet reached your Saturn Return (28-30 years old) then this information is not necessary. However, when you need to support the healing of your body, being in the correct environment is extremely helpful no matter what age you are. Of course, there is no way to predict what will happen in your unique chemistry, and we encourage you to focus on this as a way to support your differentiation, not as a medical solution.

Often people learn about their Environment and are ready to pack their bags and move! But Environment, like Food, is also about the conditions of how and where to take in nourishment - this nourishment derives from the stimulation you receive from the outside world. Your body is also designed to be nourished from the outside in, which means that certain people do better in high places while others need valleys, shores or more cave-like environments, for example.

As an object moving in space, you encounter resistance - however in your correct environment, you encounter the least possible resistance. Therefore, your longevity, relationships and quality of life are affected in a beneficial way when you are in the right place. You are stimulated by the environment in a healthy way and the social dynamics that are healthiest for you can be found here.

When you have deconditioned enough through following your Strategy, Authority, and PHS, your body can then naturally be attracted to it's correct environment without Mind getting in the way. Your correct environment provides not only nourishment but also protection from incorrect conditioning, which provides a healthier life for your form as you meet people that can help to fulfill your purpose. In your correct environment, you also encounter less resistance in your process.

Going through Radical Transformations doesn't mean that it's a mental trip where you discover you are "Natural Shores" and decide to uproot your whole life and move to Hawaii, for example. Your environment needs to be a place you discover through Strategy and Authority, and a PHS Practitioner or Analyst can give you a comprehensive description of what that could look like for you.

Entering into this depth of Human Design allows you to discover nuances and subtleties about yourself in a way that allows you to develop true discernment about where, what and who is correct for you.

Once you are in your correct environment, your Perspective points you to the way you are uniquely designed to view the world. It also gives you a counterpoint to your Perspective, called Distraction (false resonance) in Human Design. Knowing how your Perspective and Distraction can show up for you gives you two wonderful signposts that make for fascinating observation of our form and allow us the magic of being the witness of the mechanics of our being at work.

For example, if you have a Color 6, you are designed to see things in a very Personal, almost narcissistic way - but that is what is correct for you. The homogenized world can stigmatize the average person with this kind of view, pressuring you to feel like there is something wrong with you and how you don't see life in the same way others do. It is correct for you not to be conditioned or defined by those you see.

However, Personal View people can be easily distracted to see life the way others do, comparing themselves to others, and developing an interest in Power games. When Distracted by what is not correct for you, it can pull you out of your trip to see in a different way. A certain amount of distraction is healthy when it doesn’t take over your life. The key here is to not get caught up with identifying with the Distraction or follow when it leads you away from fulfilling your unique purpose.

This Perspective/Distraction dynamic gives you the ability to ground your decisions from a view of the world that is correct for you. It’s an amazing gift - especially helpful to feed your personality consciousness. Seeing from your unique Perspective cultivates a precious and life-changing awareness. Your awareness of when you see clearly as yourself, and when you don't, helps to disempower the Not-Self mind's justifications, rationalizations, and therefore decisions that it wants to make in your life.

"Rave Psychology - Motivation and Transference"

Once you have discovered the unique way in which you are designed to see the world and know the signposts of when you are distracted, you are ready for the next Transformation. Motivation describes how you are designed to provide your uniqueness to the other when it's correct for you to do so.

What pulls you away from living your uniqueness is called Transference. Like Distraction, Transference is not bad. You have a binary nature, and you need these counterbalances to step into a higher level of consciousness which allows you to separate from the mechanics of your Personality to be the witness. When you are the observer of your life movie, you get to experience the magic of what it means to be you.

Understanding your correct Motivation and its Transference (false resonance) can provide valuable signposts to help you know if you are on track to fulfill your purpose. Like the dynamic between Perspective and Distraction, Transference just happens, and there's nothing wrong with it.

But it is important to know when your motivation is transferred, and that when that is the case, your perspective is distracted - and vice versa. The key here is to cultivate an attunement to the comfort of your vehicle and an awareness of the dynamics in your psychology. When you do this, you can learn to recognize your correct motivation and stop wasting energy when you are in Transference.

For example, when you have a Color 2 motivation, you are someone who is designed to be motivated by Hope. Hope knows when to act or not, when to take responsibility or not, and being able to provide your Hope to others if it's correct for you to do so. However, when you are in Transference, you are forever trying to fix things that are not your responsibility or job to make better. But because you are seeing from the Distracted viewpoint, you don't know what to fix, and your energy is wasted. Depending on your not-self theme, you are then left with a feeling of anger, frustration, bitterness or disappointment.

Human Design System Outer Authority

We as nine-centered human beings are designed to commune with others and share our unique perspective on reality. We are here for each other. We can be of the highest possible service to others when motivated correctly to communicate our Outer Authority if asked, invited, initiated or informing when it's in alignment with our truth.

What we call Outer Authority in Human Design is the ability to provide your authentic perspective derived from the imprinting of your particular design, as an expression of your uniqueness - without the mind's attachment to protecting it's vulnerabilities.

Your creative expression of the perspective of your design is precious and unique beyond compare. When you can give your true Outer Authority to others who resonate to you, you become a resource for them, and it fulfills you in a way that is unique to your design.

It can sound quite complex with all these terms used in unique ways, but fundamentally it's very simple. You treat your vehicle (body) in the way it is designed to be treated, and you get to see how it is uniquely designed to operate optimally and experience being in the world. Depending on what your unique Superpower is (what we call Cognition in Human Design) you may experience changes and enhancements here quickly and over time. The result is more and more of you feeling fulfilled in your life, experiencing the Signature (peace, satisfaction, success or surprise) unique to your Type.

Note: Ra's recommendation was that you experiment with your S&A for at least a year before you enter into the Four Transformations, unless you have a Right brain/mind, because this information is critical to helping you align correctly (in that case, with a Left mind especially, you can start right away). Projectors need alignment to these transformations and it helps them especially more than most people. Luckily, when I got my first reading I had already been invited to eat correctly and live in my correct environment (Mountains). And, if you're like me (learning through trial and error) you may discover that if you begin this process earlier than the recommended time frame, that it can intensify the deconditioning experience, so remember to always trust your personal authority process.

Journey through the Centers of the Human Design BodyGraph - The Ajna Center

The Human Design System's Ajna Center

Our Journey through the Centers of the Human Design Bodygraph takes us to the hub of mental awareness in your life - your Ajna Center. This is our Conceptualization Function in BG5 (career application of the Human Design System) Terms. To read the other Centers, search at the top right of this blog using the magnifying glass icon.

As the Awareness Center that handles the conceptualization function of your mind, you can see that there are no motors (energy) connected to mind - mind is for communication, not action. Here is the location of your design "crystal" the dark matter that holds the genetic imprinting that makes your body what it is. Do you see all the calculations in red on the left side of your Human Design Chart? Your design (form) crystal received this unconscious genetic imprinting at eighty-eight degrees (about 88 or 89 days) of the Sun's movement before you were born.

The Ajna is one of the three Awareness Centers in your bodygraph (Spleen and Solar Plexus being the other two). Ajna awareness is all about mind-consciousness that operates over all time - which is a reason we live with the notion of always having to make mental decisions. This mind-consciousness that can conceptualize about things outside of the present moment is also why we can worry about the future, and regret or obsess about the past, when we use our mind as a personal decision-making tool - which is not it's job.

Our minds can be brilliant at measurement and comparison; we can justify and realize, rationalize and find answers, develop and share opinions, insights and ideas, yes. But when it comes to personal choices it cannot be trusted to be able to process all the relevant data, because it's self-perception is not accurate, whether it is colored in (defined) or undefined (white) in your deisgn.

The Ajna Center is a Mental Awareness Center that has no inner authority for any of us.

Conceptualization Function

Your Ajna Center handles researching, investigation, analyzation, and categorization - all things that have a basis in seeing and hearing the world around you. The Ajna is a critical processing hub for transforming cognitive comprehension into language that can be expressed by the Throat Center.

The biological correspondence of your Ajna Center is your Neocortex - the part of the cerebral cortex in your brain that handles sight and hearing. Your Pituitary Glands, which are endocrine system glands that send out chemical messengers (hormones) to other endocrine glands, are also under the Ajna’s domain.

Your Ajna is an awareness center that processes information in a dualistic manner and is valuable for providing outer authority to others and weighing out situations, but not for making your decisions. Because Mind attempts to control your life based on what it thinks it knows, you experience resistance when you are not following your unique Strategy and Authority.

How to Develop Witness or "Passenger Consciousness"

Practice observing your mind like a third party by starting off observations of your conceptualizing with "My mind thinks/believes..." rather than “I think....”

This practice can help you tune into the fact that you cannot rely upon what your conditioned mind thinks about your life to make personal decisions.

Cultivating awareness helps you become savvy to the difference of decision-making from Mind versus the correct timing for decision-making via your Strategy and Authority.

Your Ajna is a Mental Awareness Center

If you have a defined Ajna Center, you have a fixed and reliable way of processing and interpreting information; likely you are someone who enjoys researching things. Your mental preferences and inclinations are detailed in the gates and lines imprinted here. As you contemplate your Ajna Center gates, illustrated from an awareness perspective, have your bodygraph handy to take special note of the ones imprinted in your Human Design. Ajna Center gates alert us to the conceptual potentials our mind is home to, and can be valuable signposts of awareness. Defined or Undefined, we can all share our unique perspective and experience of life for the benefit of others.

The Mental Anxiety of the Ajna Center

Our Ajna is the home of six different kinds of mental anxieties. These mental fears provide the seed of awareness. When you have a whole channel colored in (defined), your fear has a consistent way of resolving itself. When you do not have the other side of the channel, this gate activation (in a defined center) or dormant potential (in an undefined center) meets up with different ways that the fear can be experienced and resolved (or magnified).

Mental Anxiety Fears of the Ajna Center

If your Ajna Center is undefined, you are someone who does not have a consistent way of conceptualizing, and you take in information like a sponge. When Transits or other people activate your dormant gates, those are very specific themes you are designed to experience when thinking about things.

Remember, the mind is always an outer authority - it is here to provide a differentiated, unique perspective to others. It cannot be trusted about your own personal decisions - because it only knows a third of the story. See the video at the end of this article for an extensive training on why you cannot trust your inner voice when it comes to making decisions about yourself and your life.

Follow your personal decision-making Strategy and Authority to make correct decisions that lead you to your unique purpose and expression of fulfillment.

Defined Ajna Center: Conceptually Consistent

If your Ajna Center is defined, you are here to be conceptually consistent. The unhealthy behavior is that it's possible you may be over-reliant on your mental functioning. You may be prone to thinking along the same lines, ie. repeated thought patterns, or even experience obsessive thinking. Mental anxiety from spending all this energy and effort trying to figure it all out in your head is often the result. You may be conditioned to take action on the mind’s concepts about your personal situation, which invariably leads to resistance.

The effect of your defined Ajna Center on undefined Ajna Center people is that you can pressure others to be certain like you are, or to give up their certainty in the way things are.

Your behavior as someone with a defined Ajna Center when operating correctly is that your Mind operates in a consistent, specific and trustworthy way. You are someone who is not influenced by another’s presence, but has your mental preferences and predispositions. You have a dependable and, correctly limited, fixed way of thinking. You enjoy researching and thinking about information.

Ra Uru Hu was here to be conceptually certain, brilliant, empowering and inspiring.

Undefined or Open Ajna Center

If you have an Undefined Ajna Center, you are fluid and adaptable in your mental processes and have the potential to be highly intelligent. You have an openness and flexibility with regards to conceptualizing, with themes particular to the gate and line activations in your design present.

When operating incorrectly, you may notice that you are uneasy with your uncertainty of thought or the unreliable way your mind conceptualizes. You may tend to compensate by being overly fixed with your opinions, insights, and ideas. You might recognize the behavior of making decisions that try to convince others or yourself that you are smart or certain. Getting things wrong and being exposed publicly for your error or inability can be a huge fear. It is probable that you developed the adaptive strategy of attempting to be intellectually consistent to avoid being humiliated.

Having your mental abilities or functions challenged constantly over your lifetime can be traumatic, and this can lead to adaptive strategies like being rigid in your beliefs and holding onto concepts that do not serve you. Trying to pretend to be certain about things may result in you making conceptually defensive decisions. When making decisions about yourself from your deeply conditioned mind, it leads to experiencing the not-self theme of your Type and mental anxiety.

Also, if you have an Open Ajna (with no gates defined), not knowing what to think is a theme you experience and being overwhelmed by concepts is entirely possible.

Undefined or Open, it is so very important for you to not give into pressure to have an answer. Get comfortable with saying things like “I don’t remember/know. Let me get back to you on that, I need to check my notes to be certain.” Trying to solve personal problems by figuring it out with the mind is dangerous for the undefined or open Ajna; doing that cultivates conditioned behavior and actions that reduce your potential to live out your uniqueness.

When you are operating correctly as someone with an undefined or open Ajna Center, you have an ability to develop wisdom about the variety of mental concepts you encounter in life. Your inconsistent way of thinking doesn’t bother you, and you learn to enjoy having no fixed way of processing thoughts. You are open to all kinds of concepts and ideas, being fluid and adaptable in your mental process. You aren’t concerned about presenting yourself as smart, having all the answers or being consistent mentally. Allowing thoughts to float by without being attached allows you to recognize truly valuable concepts worth pondering.

The wisdom that someone can develop here in the Ajna Center it that they truly know what one can be certain about, and recognize which ideas, insights and opinions are useful, practical or worthy to ponder and share with others.

Questions for Self-Inquiry:

Have you noticed yet how the mind continually tries to make decisions on what it thinks it understands? Have you noticed how your mental dialog relates to your undefined/open centers? Making decisions from the domain of mind can cause obsessive thinking, worrying and regret, often leading to frustration, bitterness, anger or disappointment. What examples of the thoughts below, which may come up on behalf of your deeply conditioned mind, do you recognize in you?

I need to memorize this so I can show I’m smart, certain or right.
I should figure this out; we have to figure this out.
What should I do with my life? I've got to figure out what to do with my life.
Where is my next move?
I am certain that (fill in the blank).
I have to put order to my life.
I have to figure out life because it feels futile.
I have to know the answer.

No matter the configuration of your Ajna Center, you are designed perfectly exactly as you are.

Remember that everyone has everything present and functioning in the bodygraph. Your definition is the map to the uniqueness of you, energized consistently to show up in your life in a specific way. Where you are are open to experiencing the abundance of possibilities and potentials that you can learn from and hopefully grow wise about over time is anywhere undefined in your bodygraph.

You were born unique. Although we are delivering this information to an adult population, Human Design's highest purpose is to give our children a chance to fully differentiate into individuals they were born to be. Raising our children in respect of the beings that they are, rather than conditioning them to be something they are not is the biggest gift you can give them and the world, besides operating correctly as yourself.

Following your Strategy and Authority to experiment with this knowledge can release your mind's conditioning and control over your life, which leads you to discover the uniqueness of your authentic being.
